Love these for work
I am a city mail carrier so good shoes are extremely important as I walk everywhere. I got these on a whim. Saw the price and saw they are leather and waterproof. We have requirements and these fit the bill.I walk around 25k steps a day about 10ish miles. These are sturdy and supportive. My feet stay dry for the most part. No shoe will ever be completely waterproof if you’ve been trekking through puddles and wet yards from melting snow for 8+ hours. But nonetheless these are really great. They are also light which is important too. I was wearing insoles in other shoes but don’t feel I necessarily need them in these. These are a great buy and my feet are warmish too. I think the size is on point. The only thing that is annoying, the shoe laces like to come undone. But that’s alright. These are worth it.

Great for hiking
It was good for hiking. It was kinda tight but it was comfortable.

Stompers!
First day wearing these, and I have to say I'm pretty happy so far! I'm usually a 10W so I ordered the 10.5 and they fit nicely, no extra room side-to-side but my toes are comfortable. If you usually need "wide calf" for taller boots, I'd suggest looking into getting longer laces, as I barely had any available length to tie them, but that's an easy fix. I wanted extra ankle support for my walks to work, and I think I've got it!! Now I just need to test them in the snow >:D My walk to work is about 20-25 minutes and they were starting to be broken in by the time I arrived, but I think I'll add my walking insoles just for that little bit of extra comfort :)

Super comfortable hiking boots!!!!!
This is my 2nd pair of Xpedi boots. When I first got them, my husband and I went on a 7 mile hike up Grandfather's Mountain. My feet weren't wet (It had been raining) and they didn't hurt either! The traction was phenomenal! After coming back home, I decided to use them as a work boot. I walk a LOT for my job (sometimes getting in 9 to12 miles a day) and these boots are amazing! If you're looking for an inexpensive but durable hiking boot, you need to get a pair of these!!! I've had my first pair for about 4 months and they are still going strong. I just really wanted the black pair (that's why I bought these) ;) Annnnnnnnd they have a 12 month warranty on them, so if for some reason they start tearing up, Xpedi will make it right! 10/10 stars in my book!

Great boot for ankle support!
Keep rolling my ankles but have no plans to stop activities that cause this. So I started looking for a workboot to help with ankle support and found this boot. Great investment. Very comfortable, great support, durable and waterproof. Not very breathable but it has not really been an issue and I've worn it for 8 hours digging in 90 degree weather. Only noticeable when took boot off at end of day and feet a bit sweaty. Still totally worth purchase for summer or winter. Bought my normal size and fit great.

wonderful once broken in
It took a while to break these boots in, as they felt stiff in the ankle for probably the first month or so. I really wondered at first if I would ever like these boots, but once I broke them in, they became my favorite. I've had them for a little over a year now and wear them several times a week to work in addition to wearing them for short day hikes (4-5 miles) and walking the dog. They are comfortable, give good support, and are holding up really well, better than my more expensive, better known brand of hiking boots. I get complimented on the way they look and I love that the leather is easy to keep clean. I will probably get another pair when these wear out, which I don't expect to be anytime soon.Update: I've now had these boots for 2 years and they are still holding up great.

good shoes
the shoes are comfortable from the first walk. they are a bit balky and heavier then accepted but very good value for the price.haven't tried yet the waterproof but it seemed waterproof.took one size larger for thick socks but half size would be better.
