I waited 15 years to buy a mat because Silpats are really expensive and the knockoffs seemed sketchy. In the meantime, I've been blasting through $5 rolls of parchment paper every few months. Well, I wish I bought a Silpat earlier. Everything I've heard about them is true and it works absolutely perfectly. I bake bread up to 500F and haven't had any issues. No burn marks and my mat still looks brand new.

I purchased 2 of these mats for my young adult granddaughter. Several years ago I purchased some for me and some for my daughter. My granddaughter used my daughter's mats over the weekend when she baked cookies. She asked if I could get her some too! They are great for baking.

I do not use this mat for cookie baking, however, I know many people do and love them. I use it primarily for pie shells, bread dough, etc when rolling out. I love this product, have given them away to people I know. They are easy to use, easy to wash, easy to store. The smallest one is a bit small for my needs so I have a larger mat and I would recommend that one if you roll out very many things like pie dough's. To preserve it, do not cut on it and I am sure it will last a long time.

Works well. Dishwasher safe and reusable. Easy cleanup. It protects your baking pan. It makes it easy to remove food. It makes baking a lot easier. I would buy this again and give as a gift for bakers and people who hate baking. Both groups would find this tool useful.

This is my second one so I can work two cookie sheets. They work perfectly. No burning. Love them.
