This is pure, delicious chicory with that beautiful classic sweet, chocolate-coffee sort of flavour - and no caffeine, so I can enjoy it any time, day or night. If you want a very sweet and creamy drink, you can obviously add sugar/stevia and milk/cream, but I prefer to have it plain, just a heaped teaspoon in a large mug of hot water. So easy, just as yummy, and free of calories and dairy. I have to admit, I actually bought this for my bhabi, who doesn't take caffeine and is coming to visit. I've had chicory drinks myself before and wasn't overly enamoured with them. I found them bland, odd-tasting and uninteresting. But I thought I'd try it out before she arrived, just to make sure it tasted okay. And, boy, I was blown away by the flavour. Just loved it. So now I'm a chicory convert! This is terrible. Do not buy, it tastes nothing like chicory. The only good thing it does is give a deep brown colour, with a distinct taste of burnt sugar. Please buy the real thing and brew in a coffee filter. The instant stuff is useless.

Now I order this chicory all the time to replace my morning coffee. Don't hesitate! If you'd like to replace coffee with chicory, choose this product.
