It worked
All of a sudden my Tivo MoCa network kept getting connection failures. It had run without fail for over two years. The TIVO support team recommended that I add this filter. I bought it, installed it in minutes, and VOILA no more problem

And I think that I get a better stream connection while using Netflix too now
I have a Tivo Roamio and a Mini. After 2 years with the same Comcast Gateway, I upgraded to the new one that makes its own MoCA network. I didn't have a Comcast guy install the new Gateway so I didn't know that you need a PoE installed until after talking with Tivo customer service. Before getting this, I kept seeing errors within both Tivo boxes that the MoCA was too low in bandwidth or it would just say error with MoCA. My Mini couldn't keep a signal for live TV and it couldn't stream shows from the Roamio for more than 5-10 min. After installing this PoE, all of those problems went away. And I think that I get a better stream connection while using Netflix too now.As a warning, with the old Comcast Gateway, I had the Tivo create its own MoCA network and it was also connected by an Ethernet cord to the gateway. For some reason, with the new Gateway, I couldn't connect the Roamio through Ethernet....it caused internet issues with other devices connected by Ethernet to the Gateway. Now both Tivo boxes connect to the Comcast MoCA and don't create their own. They get the internet connect through MoCA too.I live in a large apartment building (over 200 units) in Chicago, we are all required to get Comcast for both cable and internet so I think that you almost have to have one of these PoE even if you don't have a Tivo box if you use the new gateway. Everyone else that I talked to that recently moved into the building told me that their Comcast guy installed this before setting up their Comcast DVR. Some were told that it was due to security issues so that other apartments couldn't use your MoCA network.

Using with FIOS though I didn't think I needed it
Our Tivo Minis started losing connection to our Vox after Tivo provided it to replace a Bolt that had a disk crash, and I updated the Minis to Vox compatible software. Watching live TV or video from the Vox on the Mini would be interrupted with an error message (network too slow), sometimes even when the recorded show was still playing. I tried upgrading to higher frequency spilters to no avail, but when I added the MoCA/Point of Entry (PoE) Filter to the output of the spilter before the Tivo (and all of the Mini's) the problem ceased. FYI - our FIOS connects to their modem and our Tivo boxes via MOCA from the house entry point.

You might want to replace the one you have!
I have a Tivo Bolt and two Minis. I have an Adaptec Moca adaptor to provide eithernet over cable. They had been working fine but I started getting the dreaded "Your connection is too slow" message followed by a network disconect. After a couple of days of tightening connections, changing my router, rebooting and restarting everything in sight, I still had the problem. I replaced the splitter with a high frequency filter (1G) and still no luck. Sometimes the connection would drop right away, sometimes it would work for a few minutes. The last Tivo tech I talked to said that his suggestion was to replace on of my cables under the house, not a fun prospect in a tight crawl space. I had already ordered this "Tivo Authorized MoCA" filter so I REPLACED the 15 year old one at the cable drop point with this one. Now the Minis work fine.

Easy to install and works with my cable modem
Since I cannot go to my neighbor's house to see if I have access to my MOCA network, I cannot categorically say that this Point Of Entry (POE) filter does what it is supposed to do. For that I will have to take the "TiVo Authorized" comment at face value. What I can attest to is the fact that this filter, in contrast to a cheaper POE filter I purchased earlier, does not screw up my cable modem's ability to reach the Internet.Attaching this POE filter is simple. If you can attach COAX to the back of your TV you can attach this filter. The filter is bi-directional so it doesn't matter which connector is the "goes-inta" or the "goes-outta". Remember to attach this right at the point of entry by which I mean before the cable from the street is connected to a signal splitter. Connecting it after a splitter will mean that your MOCA network will not reach all of the cable outlets in your home.

WORKS PERFECT, THIS IS A MUST BUY!
Opened the package, installed on cable line at POE, and all my MoCA issues are gone. If you live in an apartment or condominiums, one of these is a MUST. I was having MoCA devices from 4 other neigh it's showing up on my network and using my bandwidth. Most installers should put one of these on your house, bit sadly they don't do it 9 out of 10 times. Thanks for an awesome product that just works plug and play!

Great for setting up MoCA network for Tivo
I used this to set up my Tivo MoCA network in order to add some Tivo Mini's to the house. I didn't really want to go to the expense of rewiring the house with ethernet cable, and also didn't want wires everywhere. I just added this between where the cable comes into the house and the splitter that goes off to each room. Charter Spectrum cable was not helpful at all. When I spoke to a technician's manager, he told me that they didn't support MoCA networks, because they could leak signal back out to the neighborhood, and if it was traced back to me, my cable would be shut off. At no time did they suggest that an inexpensive MoCA filter such as this would prevent the problem. I did my own research and settled on this filter. Once this was installed, the MoCA network was set up easily and I have had zero problems with the TiVo network or with Charter.
