Great alternative for Dragon when USB microphone gets low audio alarms due to driver issue
Was using Dragon Medical Practice Edition 4.2 with the USB version of this mic. Many USB mics, not just that one, appear to be affected by low audio alarms, apparently a Microsoft driver issue that supposedly MS is aware of but has not fixed. After trying unsuccessfully to fix with 3rd party software, I got the same mic with the 3.5mm connector to side step the USB issue. Have had no problems, voice recognition accuracy just as good and as fast (using a Fujitsu T900 dual core first gen i7 laptop) without the low audio problems.
