This little moon lamp works perfectly as a nightlight that I was looking for. The remote is such a nice feature, giving the option of different colors. It's definitely beautiful to look at, very realistic. The is not your ordinary plug in the wall nightlight but a modern, fun up to date stylish nightlight. I would consider giving this as a gift to my family or friends in the future as I love it so much.

It is a great mood/accent lamp. I have it in my windowless foyer/library as a just enough light to get around. It will do all sorts of variations: solid on, dimmable, and color changing. When it runs down just recharge. Very pleased.

I’m a celestial fan, and this moon lamp doesn’t disappoint. It’s bright and it’s got awesome resemblance to the actual moon. I tend to stick with the organs and white hue. It’s super light weight. Isn’t boring to look at during the day either. The battery lasts weeks, if you turn it on here and there for an hour or so. Super easy to use. My only wish is that it were a smart light. But if it were right next to me all I’d have to do it touch it to turn it on which is super easy.

Update: After having two of these for a while, I just want to add to my original review. The light is cute, and it does make an interesting little night-light. Also, probably good to have, charged, in case of power outages (which was top on my concern when I bought them). But honestly, don't expect to be thrilled with the little remote. And take care to note that turning it off is easiest with the remote instead of "tapping and slapping". (That's why the remote is important and, that it doesn't work properly can be aggravating.)Also, they don't hold a charge as long as claimed. On both of mine, I get 2 hours, at most, fully charged and glowing at less than half.(Original review) I purchased the smallest to use as a night light that I could dim as needed and turn on and off if I needed to check the room at night. Not using all the "flashes" & "dimming colour changes", just the white and the pale yellow (more natural) and am satisfied with those.But the "remote" is NOTHING like "advertised" in the videos. It's truly a cheap bauble at best, shoddy in materials and craftsmanship. The "dimming" feature doesn't work at all, and the "on/off" only works sometimes... not often.Other than that, it serves the purpose. The "white" is typical "LED", with the slightest blue tint, but very like a full moon on a clear night. Not bright enough to use as a "reading light" (again, I have the smallest one so the larger might be brighter), but certainly great, for example, in a power-outage!I will be getting another, same size, and hopefully the "remote" will work properly (though I imagine they're all made at the same place, in the same fashion so I'm not too hopeful). Meanwhile, I gave it 1 star for "giftable" because, well, the remote is disappointing.

I had the older model of this "moon ball," but it finally died (i couldn't turn it off). This new one is much improved (you can read the product description above). I appreciate the 16 color choices and the multiple display modes. the moonscape also seems to be rendered more nicely as the "seas" appear realistically darker than the "land"-it really looks like the moon. I especially like the remote control, which allows me to turn the moon lamp on/off from my chair or bed-very handy if I need to get up in the night.

My grandkids are obsessed with the moon, so I got this for one of their birthdays and they are totally enamored with it. They love that it can change colors and looks so realistic (they're all under 5 so maybe they're easy to impress?) and like to turn it on when it's too cloudy or the moon is out of phase for them to see at night.The only issue I have with it is using a proprietary connector. I'm not sure it would have significantly changed COGS to just use a USB-C port so I don't have to worry about losing the little cord that came with it for charging. Their happiness trumped that to get this a rare 5 stars.

This was a Christmas gift for my senior-citizen hubby (I am, too, but he's a lot older). He is hard to shop for because he doesn't want anything, and he doesn't read as much as he used to, so his pile of unread books does not need yet another.But he likes space things: rockets, stars, nebulae, space travel. (He's a Star Trek fan, and still talks about how his ex-wife worked for NASA down in Huntsville, Alabama.) I was just wandering around Amazon and found this, and I took a chance.He LOVES it! It took the two of us a bit of time to figure out the remote, and how to charge it, but we got it. He still hasn't figured out the timer, but he turns off everything when he leaves his home office anyway, so this is not an issue.He loves all of the different colors, and switches colors every day.This was a unique gift that he really liked, so if you don't know what to get for your person who likes space science, but doesn't need anything, this might be the thing.I don't know if it is breakable; our grandkids live out of state, and the cats have left it alone, so we don't know if it will break easily or not. It's just really cool.This was a Christmas gift, as noted above. By March, it had stopped working. No one likes to give a gift that stops working in a couple of months. Hubby does not complain, but I will.
