This is such a great way to normalize different faces and cultures for little ones. In our current globalized society, it's our responsibility as educators and as parents to prepare these children for the diverse world they will inherit. This book is simple, colorful and does just that!

I bought this book for my granddaughters (ages 3 and 1) to enjoy as well as to provoke discussion on how “all babies and kids like to play”. Playing is the way young humans learn. I appreciate the photos of children from all over the world to promoter our differences but more importantly our similarities.

This book is well made and the photo quality is great. Our 18 month old granddaughter enjoys it!

Global Babies Playtime takes us on a journey to see the different ways that babies play across the world. Lots of different faces, some like us and some different, mean we are exposed to cultures beyond our own which opens up our world when living in a small, rural community where access to other cultures can be quite limited. The text is simple but easy to incorporate gestures to liven up the narrative. My sons love the Global Babies series. A brilliant initiative.

We love our global babies books - my youngest is nearly two and still pulls out this book as he's facinated by all of the babies and what they are getting up to. I use the book as well to talk a bit about emotions and to help him start to recognise facial expressions and talking about what other people are like, in different countries. It's something I'd re-purchase for a new baby gift because babies love looking at babies like them.
