Throwing Tomahawk Handle - Cold Steel Replacement Axe Handle - 22 inches - Premium American Hickory Wood

I had to replace the stock handle on my Cold Steel Hawk due to it cracking and being a rather bad piece of wood to begin with. The replacement handle was 10x better than the stock one for some reason. The grain orientation was perfect. It came in proper finish, which means NONE! It required light sanding to bring it to the texture I prefer and only required a couple coats of Linseed Oil to make it perfect. I wish every handle I bought was this well done. Not sure if it's a fluke, but if they continue to send these out, they will put everyone else out of the hawk handle business. You can't hardly do better making them yourself.

Ordered these to replace a few, well-loved tomahawk handles that have seen close to 8 years of damage. Handles came promptly, and were in good condition. There wasn't any packaging on the inside of the box, just 3 handles. the handles were no worse for wear, so oh well. The handles were a perfect replacement. All 3 hawks are now ready for a few more years of abuse! I will be ordering a half-dozen or so soon, so I have extras when I get sloppy and play handles.

The handle is a little smooth. I wish in the description it showed what the head looked like.

There's not much to say. I used this to replace the worn out handle on my Cold Steel Trail Hawk. The new handle fit fine - I'm not a snob about a friction fit - and the hawk is much more comfortable to use again. I'm happy with this purchase and felt that I received a good value for the price I paid. I would buy it again.

This handle will not fit any cold steel tomahawk's It was a complete waste of money!! The handle barely made contact inside the eye if the hawk head it was way to small. I tried three different cold steel tomahawk's and it wouldn't make a friction fit enough to hold head. I realize some minor fitting would be required but if I had sanded it at all it would fallen through the eye of the tomahawk. Don't believe the description and buy a replacement hanlde from Cold Steel.

The tomahawk handle is just ok. Like the original that came with my trail hawk this one lacks the gentle taper that would make a good pressure fit with the head. The taper is too agressive and requires reshaping to make it just ok.

Great stick to place an axe head on.
