The mop worked well until the sponge separated from the metal retaining piece that fits into the mop handle while ringing out the mop. This happened after less than 5 uses.

It's not an issue of quality, it's just a bad design. The metal spine is crimped onto the sponge, so the sponge is already severely strained. When you install it on the mop and squeeze it, that puts even more force on the sponge. So it's no wonder the sponge pops off from the metal spine. This last one we bought failed IMMEDIATELY, the first time it was used. The previous one didn't last long either, less than 1 year of being used approximately once a month.Don't buy this refill just because you already have the mop for it. That's called "throwing good money after bad." Just toss it, and get another type of mop.

The first refill only survived two rounds of mopping. As I was wringing out the mop head the sponge came out of the metal piece that holds the sponge in the handle. The second sponge refill popped out of the metal piece at the beginning of my mopping session today! I only wrung it out four times so I didn't even finish mopping the laundry room. There's no way to get the sponge head back into the metal piece. Don't waste your money on these refills! Complete garbage.

Terrible replacement. The original mop head lasted a very long time. I finally installed the replacement and it only lasted roughly 3 minutes before falling apart.I then swapped it out with the 2nd replacement and again, about 5 minutes in, #2 fell apart. Had to resort to completing the job on my hands and knees with a broken mop sponge.Had this only happened to 1 of the mop heads, I'd have given the seller the benefit of the doubt. But to have both replacements fall apart within a 10 minute period is ridiculous.Extremely disappointing.

I bought these as they were supposed to be top quality and strong. I bought them to use on my epoxy granite chip garage floor. The first one failed after 10 minutes of use. The blue sponge popped right out of its metal rod. Since I bought a 2-pack, I put the other one on and tried to be extra careful while mopping. This one popped out after less than 5 minutes. I had to get on my hands and knees with the sponge to finish the job. Very disappointing to say the least. When I sent a message to the company website, this was the response I got almost immediately: "I am so sorry that this has happened. We are aware of this issue that sometimes happens with our PowerScrub refills and have had our engineers change the manufacturing process to correct this issue. We have a guarantee on all of our products. We will have replacement refills sent to your address at no cost. You can expect to see it in 7-10 business days through UPS." I am happy with their response and increased stars from 1 to 3 as a result. I will revise again when I get and use the replacement items.
