5/16 Inch by 100 Feet Double Braid Polyester Rope, Blue with White and Black Tracers

We’re fixing up an older 21’ sailboat, redoing all the rigging and updating colors. On the running rigging we chose poly braid with vectran core for the main and Genoa halyards and a “softer hand” poly with dyneema blend core for the sheets, at our rigger’s suggestion (just for the performance options those offered for our specific needs), but he agreed that a good double braid polyester would work for the Spinnaker halyard and some of our other lines. With needing to save where we can, the price on this was right, and after searching and finding the same overly bright (almost neon) yellows and lighter blues than what I wanted in boating rope elsewhere, I was delighted with the more attractive (to my tastes) colors Blue Ox had to offer. This made-in-the-U.S. line arrived quickly, feels substantial, with a tight braid and braided core, and at 100’ can be cut and resealed (though not recommended for ease of splicing, our rigger was able to splice it with some patience) and still leave us some for re-stocking our stash of emergency lines. The proof will be in the performance, but so far it looks like it’ll suit us well.

On several others sailors' recommendations I got some of this line to replace my sailboat's ultra-grubby sheets for its foresail. I must say that the photos just don't come close to doing this line justice. It actually has delightful little silvery highlights in the sun--It's a real pleasure to see and use my fresh new lines. They've only been on a few weeks, so I cannot yet rate their 'Durability' or 'Sturdiness' as Amazon's prompting me, but the stuff sure SEEMS well made. So, "Thumb's up!", say I. You've little chance of finding better line out there for less.

very good braid for the money. I upgraded traveler line, main and vang line and jib sheets on an old 28 footer with this company's line bought off amazon this year and it is holding up well. It is a great value. Fine for a cruising boat.

Bought this for general use around the house. This is nicely made rope and I have used it for various purposes since I bought it. Ties well and is very sturdy.

This is my second rope from Blue Ox Rope. Same type, different color. Both times the shipping was speedy, & the line is exactly what I expected. The first is now the main halyard for my sail boat, this line will be the topping lift. Each is a good bit longer than necessary for the length of my mast, but I like the length so I can eventually run them back to the cockpit.

It’s rope. It does what rope is supposed to.

Good line. Would purchase from this source again.
