A well-researched, beautifully written, and expertly produced account of one of America's most important photo-journalistic journeys (one that almost was forgotten, as it was never published in LIFE magazine as planned). Gordon Parks' photographs are reprinted accurately.. and the editing is concise, sharp. Full marks for this excellent catalogue.
