Birds: Photographs

Incredibly detailed photos are a pleasure to look through. Evident that Meticulous care went into selecting photos and incorporating reference text, but not at all text heavy.If you want a large, beautiful table book, this is a treasure. Highly recommended to bird and nature enthusiasts.

A lovely and quite heavy book. Detail is amazing. My only complaint would be a few photos are cut in half by the binding, otherwise, it's just perfect.

Beautiful pictures. Nothing else.

Gift for my much beloved birder dad

This book is a magnificent collections of avian photography. The various bird species chosen show a wide range of plumage and color types. The photographs consist of close-ups of feathers, facial features, portraits, full-body, and in-flight imagery. This is an excellent book if one simply enjoys very well-done photography. It is also a wonderful resource for artists who are drawn to avian forms and details. While yes, it is pricey, it is an Art Book, very well-produced, and I think that it is well worth the money.

I purchased this for my mom for Christmas. She is an avid bird-watcher and thought it was such a beautiful coffee table book. The photography is absolutely stunning.My only con is that it arrived in a large box with little to no padding and the corners of the book were damaged, but that's more of a "Ordering from Amazon during the Holidays" issue than anything to do with the book or seller.

Love this book. Pictures are stunning and creative. Lots of birds I never heard of. Book is informative as well - giving information on each and every bird in the collection. This was a great gift!

Purchased this book for my mom, who was an avid reader before macular degeneration impaired her sight. She is thrilled with the vivid pictures and the monochromatic backgrounds. She has a reader that will enlarge the book text and since it lays flat easily, she is looking forward to reading the text as well.

"Birds" is a most wonderful book with many breath taking photographs! A problem with theKindle Version is that many birds are shown on doubl pages thus one can see either firth the headof a bird and on the next page the tail or first the tail then the head! Thus if that will causereaders problems I would like to recommend the print version of this book!

Outstanding photography. Fabulous prints. Magnificent creatures. Excellent size.I am overwhelmed with the whole bouquet of feelings this book gives me. It's just incredible. I am so into it. Love this edition with all my heart. And proudly have it on my shelf.
