Superbes assiettes pour les amateurs d'articles de table Portmerion.
Habitué depuis des années à séjourner chez des amis anglais, j'étais tombé amoureux de leur service de table Portmerion Botanic Garden. Ils le savaient et chaque fois que mon épouse et moi passions quelques jours chez eux ils nous sortaient le "grand jeu." (assiettes, sets de table, bols à céréales, mugs.. etc..)Privé d'Angleterre pour la deuxième année consécutive pour cause de covid, j'ai décidé de me faire un petit plaisir en commandant ce lot d'assiettes sur Amazon. Je n'ai pas été déçu: elles sont magnifiques et me rappellent tant de bons souvenirs. Je n'exclus pas d'autres achats de ce type à l'avenir.

Scuff marks on each plate
My friend had these plates so I knew how they looked and really like them, but I was disappointed to see that each "new" plate that was in the box, had scuff marks and manufacturing defects. I read the other reviews about the poor packaging and agree with them. These plates are expensive and should be made, and arrive, in perfect conditions. Portmerion should revise their quality standards.

BEAUTIFUL Plates at a Good Price!
These Portmeirion Botanic Garden plates are so GORGEOUS!!! I got them from Amazon in two days. They were nicely packed and arrived in perfect condition. And the price was very right (best deal around). I was a bit concerned about their authenticity, but relieved to see "Made in England" on the bottom of each plate. I've been cooking a lot during this pandemic and my other plates were looking a bit tired... I've always admired this pattern, created in 1972 by celebrated designer Susan Williams-Ellis. A classic! The lip of the plate curves up slightly, making it perfect for a luncheon salad or any delicious entree. Highly recommend. Oh and Bon Appetit!!

Love these dishes
I’ve had this pattern in bowls snd serving pieces for 32 years since our wedding. But I had Nantucket China for my dinner and salad plates to mix in with the floral of the bowls etc. but my China couldn’t go in the microwave so I finally got rid of that and completed my Portmeirion set with these dinner plates. I’m thrilled!!!
