My new go-to ball (average golfer)
I love the Snell MTB-black. I hit in the 90’s so I could use a lower spin ball to keep those random hooks/slices down, and this feels like the perfect balance between performance and forgiveness. It’s a good compression, mid-soft feel without being too soft. I’m not really good enough to speak on the chipping green backspin, but my iron shots on the green have been stopping on a dime. Drives are solid, getting good distance and keeping the shape minimal. This is my go-to ball now. I used to not care about balls, but this year I’ve been trying to find my fit. I’ve tried Chromesoft, Pro-v1, Bridgestone e6, Superhot, Srixon super soft, and TaylorMade Tour Response; this Snell is my favorite for what I’m looking for. Only downside might be durability (I don’t know much in this area), if you hit one out of sand it will be pretty rough where you hit it. If I’m lucky enough to last a round with 1 ball it’ll have divots and the finish is worn. That’s pretty rare for me though so it’s a non-issue.

They’re no Pro-V1......
BUT, they are awesome. I know the backstory to the creator and these balls are not the quality of Pro-v’s around the green. However, for a mid price ball they respond and act great. I would compare these to Maxfli Soft (around the same price range). These trump the Maxfli’s around the green. For bogey golfers on a budget who go through a dozen every 3-4 rounds, this is the ball for you! I want to try the MTB Red because I don’t know which one is better but this black model is still great!

Give Dean Your Money Now!!!!
I am a 13 handicap golfer on a mix of high level and moderate level courses. I have grown to feel and see differences in various balls available. With my driver swing speed (>100mph) I have grown to love Taylormade TP5x and Titleist ProV1X, though I don’t like losing a ball worth about $4 (inevitable as an amateur and future dad needing diapers!). I did a TON of research on direct to consumer balls and specifically Snell balls after I was disappointed with trying various mainstream balls and Vice balls, just based on my swing and playing style. (Vice were the only Direct to consumer I had used) After all the research and data from various outlets I decided to try both the MTB Black and MTBx. For myself I found the MTB Black to be the best ball. It was hotter/longer off of the irons and low spin off of driver/woods than the MTBx. The MTBx was a great ball, but I found I had more control with the black. Both balls felt as good or better than ProV1/ProV1X on the putter. I let my buddy also try the balls (a 17 handicap) and he also said if I blacked out the logos, he’d never known which ball was a ProV1 vs the Snell As he had been playing a ProV1. Save yourself about $20 and start playing Snell balls! Thank you MR Snell!

Spin spin spin
The spin these balls have off of my coney wedges is amazing for the price. These stay as well as pro v1’s for almost half the price. These will be my balls until I find something better for the same price, and I highly doubt that’s going to happen anytime soon. Great ball snell

Every bit as good as the name brand ball
Very playable ball, long and straight but still soft around the greens. Very comparable to the higher priced brand name ball. I have already ordered a second dozen as I have days where I can lose a few.

Won't buy these again
Was pretty excited to try these golf balls for the first time based on reviews. The first couple of balls I lost in the water but several of them after being hit only one time off the tee they had started to come slightly apart. I will attach a picture so you can see, I emailed the company got one response then sent the pictures and I haven't heard back from them in over a week. This review is solely about the golf ball not the distributor who sold them to me. I even sent the UPC code of the golf balls that I bought with the picture of the golf ball, it could have been just a bad batch or something but it left a first time user bad impression on me. The six out of twelve that I did use we're fine but the other half a dozen I threw away after one hit. The golf ball pictured was hit one time off the tee almost center of the fairway and this is what it look like after one hit , I can almost get my fingernail under it.
