No Bull Review - World History

Concise, valuable study tool
Used this (and two other No Bull books) to study for the Praxis Middle School Social Studies certification and it certainly covered a lot of material in a concise manner. I highly recommend for someone who is brushing up for a test, but this is pretty dry content for someone who wishes to actually learn for the first time about this subject. Well written and well organized. My only complaint, and this is a personal preference based off of how I prefer to learn and remember history, is that the information is organized by general topic, and is not necessarily in chronological order. I don't want in any way to detract from the book, which I do think is very well done, but I was constantly flipping back and forth as I read, trying to piece content into a mental timeline of when it happened, rather than by what happened. That said, this book (and others in the series) is a very valuable study tool, and I say that as both a student and a teacher.

Perfect.
Mr. Klaff has an incredible website called mrklaff.com which has helped me SO much in preparing for the Global History and Geography Regent. Although I did not take AP World History, I benefitted tremendously from this book. Within the months leading up to the regent I had used the Global Prentice Hall book and the Global Boosters flash cards, which were both very helpful as well. However, I really just wanted to review the information without getting sidetracked. So, about a week and a half before the regent, I ordered this book. It came exactly one week before the regent, and I read about 30 pages a day, hilighting important terms, facts and skills, and practicing with the review questions. I ended up getting a 98 on the regent and I just wanted to thank Mr. Klaff for sharing his ideas on his website and creating this review book. Clearly, I very much recommend this, and I am excited to purchase the AP US Government No Bull Review Book for next year.

Great source for SAT Subject prep
My son loved this book while preparing for his SAT Subject. Although it doesn't have many tips and practice questions for AP World History, it is a great source and the best book for reviewing SAT World History material in the most time- saving manner.

Great for AP exam review
Contains review material for each time period and also helps review over-arching concepts that will appear in essay questions.

Concise Study Review
Very concise coverage of the 6,000 years of history covered on the SAT World History Test. For students who have taken the AP course, this is a very valuable supplement and will help them target unknown or forgotten areas.I would definitely encourage serious students to purchase this and dedicate a month to reading, reviewing and memorizing its information.

What test prep should look like.
No tests included so you may want to buy another book with more explanations and tests. I bought two books this one and a larger AP test prep book and am happy. The bottom line is you do not have to buy an 800 page $125 book to pass a test on World History.

Useful but limited in scope
I would like to see more questions available. The subject summaries are well done. I recommended the book to my students as a supplement.

Bravo, Thanks for helping!
I must congratulate you on this book. It came in handy when studying for the regents instead of plowing through mounds of material. It was there when we needed it most! I would highly recommend it. Thank you again!
