A Fantastic Product
Having seen some of the reviews here, I felt that it was only fair to counter the critical reviews of this excellent product. Contrary to other comments, it was straightforward to set up, yes the boundary wire takes some time to lay out, but that is the same for any robotic mower and not such a big job on a sunny day. The docking station of course needs a power supply and to face in a certain direction but again, not a problem. The quality of the cut is excellent, it cuts in straight lines every time and cuts from a different direction each time to give a healthy great looking lawn, with thick, healthy green grass It does exactly what I bought it for and it is probably one of the best products that I have bought, the lawn always looks spot on. If I had any criticism it would be that it would be nice to have more adjustment in the blade height, but this is only minor and me trying to have a perfect lawn.

Game changer.
This has made a huge difference to us. Previously we didn’t have time to cut the lawn regularly, meaning it was too long to enjoy and not good for the lawn health. This lawnmower has been great, it’s set on a timer and cuts the lawn every other day even doing so whilst we were on holiday. It leaves stripes and cuts the grass systematically.

Takes hours to install but worth it...
This is my first robot mower so I don't have anything to compare it to but I am very happy with it. The installation involved pegging a perimeter wire around the lawn which seems straightforward but it took several hours. I wanted to get right up to the borders to minimise strimming, so there were multiple runs of the mapping process, adjusting the wire. The next day I made more adjustments like adding soil around the edges to allow the mower to get part way up onto the bricks along the edge. Then deleted the map and allowed it to re-map the lawn. The result now is the wire at 5cm from the edging on three sides and 20cm from the higher patio so just a small amount of strimming which I can do with shears. I'm very pleased with the cutting itself, it covers the whole lawn at a different direction each time. The lawn looked much better after 4-5 mows last autumn, and then I stored the mower and docking station inside for the winter months. It's now back outside and doing its job nicely. It seems to be fine out there in the rain but I might build it a garage out of a plastic storage box. The firmware update requires a download to USB, but then you need a USB to micro USB converter cable which is a bit annoying because I had to buy one. Therefore gave it 4 stars tech support.

Unreliable and service centre is badly run
Getting one of these robomowers has been a very up and down experience. The first challenge starts with the wire laying. For our lawn (320sqm) it was a full day’s job. However it doesn’t end there because then you have to keep an eye on where the mower gets stuck, then dig up the wire and re-lay it. You can’t take the mower too close to edges or it might get stuck so you end up with a lot of grass unmown (or worse it gets stuck and nothing gets mown). Then the uni is not reliable. We have had to send ours back to Bosch twice in the last two years and Bosch aren’t easy to deal with. They don’t send updates, up until this year their website didn’t work to book in (you had to email them), and then after sending our unit in this year it is still with them almost three weeks later. Apparently they’re oversubscribed but I only found that out after emailing them. This thing could be great and when it does work it’s super. But it’s a bit of a labour of love and patience to make it happen!

Very disappointing
This mower does not cut as cleanly as previous Flymo robots I’ve had, and there are patches missed due to the method of the robot cutting in “straight” lines. I’ve given up trying to let the mower determine its own schedule as my lawn is never fully cut in a single day and so always looks a mess, I’ve had to resort to using the calendar function and scheduling exactly when i need the lawn cut. I will be selling this robot and going back to a Flymo robot. A real shame as Bosch is a brand name I trust and so I had high hopes for this mower.

Disappointed - Did Not Work Out of the Box
I was really looking forward to using the Bosch Indego XS 300, but unfortunately, it was a complete disappointment. Straight out of the box, the mower refused to charge on the station. I tried multiple times to make sure everything was set up correctly, but no luck. It seems like the battery was defective, as the mower simply wouldn't power on or hold any charge. Considering the price and the reputation of Bosch, I expected much better quality. This was a huge letdown, and I had to return it without even getting a chance to see it in action. Not what I expected from such a brand – very frustrating experience.

Complicated and limited
The requirements for this product to be useful are not suitable for my garden. I have sold it on

Useless junk
Unusable. Bought for my elderly father who lives some distance away. My son, who is v. technically minded, could not fathom how to install this, despite repeated attempts, when we visited my Father. Liason with Bosch did not solve the problem. Son has now left to go to Uni. so can't continue trying. Amazon will not refund. Bosch will ONLY charge us a max of £283.50 to 'repair' it! It has never worked. They cannot recommend an electrician to install it. DO NOT BUY.
