Wood needs to be finished
Top of the line. However, its raw wood. You could use it like that but really, you'll want to apply a finish of some sort. You could just sand it with 220 or finer grit, then cover it with either Spar urethane (better for outdoors) or polyurethane. I chose to stain mine first, followed by 2 coats spar urethane. I used minwax pre stain (prevents blotches) then minwax golden oak stain (use a rag, not brush), then 2 coats spar varnish.

Gardners delight!
As an avid gardner, I have been looking for a potting table for three years. I am very particular and jumped on this one recently. It arrived, very well packaged, and fast delivery! It is extremely well constructed with top notch materials. It comes sanded, beautifully finished. I put a light stain on it to blend in with my deck area and it looks fantastic. I can't say enough about how wonderful this product is!
