The Aermotor (pronounced AIR-MOTOR) Windmill Company of San Angelo, Texas, has been manufacturing windmills since 1888. Originally based in Chicago, IL, Aermotor is still in business, and still produces the classic windmill that seems to be an icon of the American Pioneer. Many windmills are still used throughout the world to pump water where no electricity is available.
