The book is one person’s personal experience and doesn’t emphasise on the science behind it, what quality each animals stands for. I was hoping for a detailed chapter on each animal totem, this is based more on what the native Americans believed in. The book doesn’t have a universal approach to the subject

I liked this book. It was really helpful on so many levels. The style of writing was very warm and close and you felt like someone was really trying to help you find answers on this subject. There are some great meditations included inside and Mr. Steiger has some good stories to tell as well. If you are interested at all in Shamanism or Power Animals, I recommend this book heartily. It does not talk down to you: it is a very honest and helpful book that will open many doors to understanding and spiritual growth.

A great book written with passion and knowledge takes you out of yourself, good reference.

I purchased this book for a friend and when it arrived read it. The Transformative Power of your Personal Animal Totem is easy to read and full of dense information. I enjoyed how the writer provides the reader with a historical perspective of symbols, rituals and practice. I would have appreciated more specifics about a broader group of animals particularly since the book looks like a resource for your Totem Animal. Excellent book for the price.
