Would recommend for beginners as gives some very useful strategies for learning.

The author takes a lot of detail in teaching Russian, and it's understandable. If a person *really* wants to learn this language, I would recommend this book. I hope they have a lot of time to devote to the "out of book" exercises. This is a very good publication
