Has a lip, which keeps the lid secure in place. Just be sure to tighten the connections, and check them if you aren't getting up to 29 in a timely fashion. I use with a 12 cfm pump,works great.

Would NOT Hold Vacuum, Dropped 1 HG Every 20-30 Mins.
Ordered 1 Pro-Vac Worked Perfectly.Ordered Another and Wouldn't Hold Vacuum.Would Drop.5 HG Every 10 Mins or So.Ive Owned Older Pro-Vacs and Have the New Model swell.Plenty of Experience.Hand Tightened.Not Overly Tightened.I Ordered Another in Hopes of it Working like it Should.Very Disappointed the Equipment is NOT Tested before Shipping out.For Whatever Reason, It would not Hold Vac, And Had a SLOW Leak.Now I Have to wait for Another to Arrive.

-26 not pulling to - 29
Not happy with my purchase only getting - 26 with a 2 stage 3 cfm Robinair. All gages and tapped fitting were loose and want to come loose upon tightening hose to lid. Also it comes with no instruction if you don't know how to us it your screwed.

Still waiting for a call back
I received my degassing chamber about 7 days within purchasing it here on amazon. Went to use it about a week ago and it would only get to -26hg. I've used the same vacuum pump many times and am able to pull -30hg on big AC units. More importantly the chamber will not hold vacuum. As soon as I turn the shut off valve and turn my pump off the vacuum will slowly leak out. So there's obviously a leak somewhere in the lid. Called customer service 3 times today and left a message with my call back information. All 3 times a got an answering machine so I'm not feeling to great about that. Hopefully I can get a call back today and have them ship me a chamber that works.

The lid on this chamber is terrible.The gauge never worked right out of the box.I did not over-tighten and the lid has already begun to crack.Half of the silicon ring on the lid that seals the chamber has fallen off.Save your money and go with a different brand.
