Enjoyable read
I enjoyed this book, but felt like the writing could have been better. Perhaps a lack of editing? The creators certainly have talent though and I look forward to more of their books.

Like X-Files for the younger set (and grownups who love comics)
We backed this book on Kickstarter, and I’m so glad we did! I read it first on my own and really enjoyed it, then re-read it to my son and he was immediately hooked. Chloe is the middle school’s start basketball player, and her life is pretty great. Until she sees a monster almost kill a kid in her neighborhood, and even worse, one of her neighbors seems to be controlling it. What the heck is happening? Who can she trust? Finally she confides in Todd, the class conspiracy theorist, and together they find an even darker secret than they could have imagined.(There is one unfortunate page in the book. Given how mean kids can be to other kids who need headgear or other orthodontia, I thought it was a cheap joke that the clueless dorky girl who never gets picked for basketball wears headgear. It was a stereotype that seemed really out of place with the rest of the writing. So after reading, you may want to discuss that part with the kiddo in your life.)

Lost meets Stranger Things meets X-Files
The first book in a trilogy that is perfect for anyone who loves mystery, monsters, adventure, kids doing cool things-- It's like Lost meets Stranger Things meets X-Files in a comic form and appropriate for all ages. Highly recommended!

Great book!
I really enjoyed this graphic novel. The story was suspenseful, and I kept finding myself staring at the graphics, absorbed in the colors and lines, imagining the characters actually moving on the page. The muted color scheme really sets the stage for a creeoy monster mystery. The two main characters are very believable, average kids teaming up despite their differences.Michael Regina does a great job of keeping the plot lines clear enough for kids to follow, but adds a few teasers and mysterious intonations to keep adults interested (especially if you enjoy a little sci-fi mixed with mystery).By the title, it seems we can expect a series, and that can't come soon enough for this reader. I can't wait to see how the story fleshes out.

Entertaining and Suspenseful
My 10 year old son and I both enjoyed reading this graphic novel. It's a monster mystery-- Adamsville appears to be any quiet small town, until one of our heros sees something strange happen and decides to investigate. The challenge I always have with graphic novels is not just rushing through the plot, but taking the time to appreciate the artwork as well-- but that's a good problem to have. Michael Regina delivers on both accounts. My favorite part is that it works for a large audience-- it's never too scary for adolescents, but is suspenseful and intriguing enough for adults.

Terrific graphic novel
Terrific graphic novel. Lots of fun for all ages. First, my eldest son picked it up, and read it cover to cover. Then, my middle son did the same. When I picked it up and started reading, I understand why. Great story telling! Cannot wait for book 2!!
