Not sure what other people are talking about, but this made my hair soft and felt clean. The packets indicate a once a week use with the shampoo and conditioner combo. I only wash my hair once a week, so I guess if you wash your hair daily with it, you’re going to experience dryness. To each their own. I love and would recommend.

My hair has hated me for decades... frizzy, dull, and fragile. My hair loves this combo! It is now shiny and full and my curls are actually curls again! Oh, and it has not damaged my color, I think it has brightened it. For reference, I live in a rural area with VERY hard water

i moved somewhere and tragically did not realize it was the hard water that was ruining my hair until it had totally crunchatized it. fortunately i have this now. what a tremendous difference. it's like night and day in basically every facet of hair texture, health, and appearance you can think of.my only complaint is that the shampoo is too drying on my scalp which is already dry anyway and i wish it had either no fragrance or at least a more neutral soapy one. the fragrance is orangey citrus and a bit like pez candy, but quite mild compared to most shampoos so i guess i can't complain.i notice i get the most out of this shampoo and conditioner when i use both all the way from my scalp to my ends (myhair is down to my butt) even though we're taught not to do that. i personally need those chelating ingredients all the way up and down. the longer i leave the conditioner on the softer and less tangly my hair is as well. i haven't tried the packets yet.i'm sad i didn't realize what was killing my hair until it was too late but i know it will grow back healthier now that i have this. :) yay

I got my hair colored again last Saturday. I have shoulder length fine bright blonde hair with multicolored streaks shades of blonde/light brown hair within. I have been coloring my hair blonde for 25 years - since I was 12. I really take pride in my hair, it’s expensive to do, so I really want to take care of it. I had to cut six inches off due to the hard water damage from the last six months of hard water life at our apartment complex.6 months ago, I got married and we moved to another Northern California town with hard water and gross minerals in it. I no longer had the soft water that I typically use on my hair!My stylist noticed the difference in color and texture as my hair was turning duller and flatter, my scalp was itching like crazy and I was losing more hair than usual. This time she used the extensive Malibu C treatment 45 minutes ahead of coloring and recommended that I purchase this Malibu C detoxing set (along with another weekly purple toning shampoo to keep up the brightness) so to minimize the hard water damage to my hair. She shampooed my hair and deep conditioned it with Malibu C products as well. I absolutely loved the scent - it’s a very clean, not overpowering scent that does not smell like chemicals. I especially love that it is 100% VEGAN. I’ve gotten more aware of environmental toxics and pollutions over the last year so I really appreciate that the Malibu C company formulated the shampoo & conditioner this way - as well as it has the cruelty free bunny on the label, as it is not tested on animals. My hair was lighter, brighter and healthier.My only (and decent sized) issue? This box describes not just a 9oz bottle of shampoo and a 9oz bottle of conditioner, but describes 4 packets of “Hard Water Wellness Remedy” which was not in the small space in the box that was allotted for it :( :( :( I double checked the description on Amazon for this box as well, it also describes 4 packets that I didn’t get! It’s really a bummer because I really really love everything else about this package!This review would have been 5 stars, I gave 2 off for the lack of small packets and the inconvenience that caused because I now have to do one of the below:1) exchange this and not wash my hair for a week with this shampoo2) Keep it and deal with not having the small packets. But then I’ll need to buy an additional set of small packets separately for $7 (the current cost on Amazon to purchase a set of them) and eat the cost. Neither option is very appealing to me.So: The score is 3/5 overall or a 65%A 5/5 for scentA 2/5 for packagingA 5/5 for speedAnd for actual use of product? A 5/5. I can’t get past the missing packets though. . :(

I bought a house with a well, and even though we have a full water softener, I think the old hot water heater was letting some heavy iron through the shower. Despite a shower head filter as well, over time my Barbie blonde hair became a very unattractive beige/red that was banded through the middle. I went to a salon who had no idea. My neighbor told me about this product. I have long hair, so I used two packets and decided to “go for it” and let it sit 20 min. After two treatments, it’s 90% gone and my hair is almost back to normal. Excellent product. Do this before you get your hair colored or it will pull your color out. I bought 12 more packets. Shampoo is nice, didn’t like the conditioner, but I’m sold for life on the packets
