Most difficult, messy adhesive I've ever used!
In my 70 years of construction/remodeling work I've used lots of flooring adhesives. This one wins all honors for being the most user-hostile adhesive I've ever used. It takes hours, not the "minutes" shown on the container, for it to get ready to accept the vinyl sheet-goods flooring. This was in a 65 degree building. Even after an hour, it seemed as wet as when applied. It is the hardest adhesive ever to clean up. When rolling the floor for an even and solid contact, the stuff of course oozes out wherever there's a seam or an edge and it must be cleaned up immediately or it becomes a real project. Scrape off all you can with a plastic tool and then soap and water. If you wait even a few minutes, you'll have to use paint thinner. I always do a test or two with any product I've not used before, so I did one with some scraps of flooring on scraps of plywood, and another with flooring on top of flooring, since the description says this can be used to go over an old floor. Next day the flooring-on-flooring one peeled right off of the old shiny side of the old bottom sample. On the plywood test, it kinda stuck but after an overnight cure it certainly should have made a secure bond. It did not. One more thing, I( needed it ASAP so I bought this product at our local chain hardware store, the most expensive hardware supply in town, for 20% less than Amazon's price. I guess the 20% pays for the "free" shipping? Shop around!Update 5/21/2014I just "tested" two more of the samples of this product I glued up 3 days ago. One was vinyl sheet flooring onto new underlayment plywood. The other was the same vinyl on old vinyl flooring (lightly sanded to break the gloss). Both pulled apart with little effort. The adhesive was completely dry, but it just pulled right apart.
