When I went to get my slides transfered into photos, it was going to cost me over $200.00 so yes $40 was worth ther box and I have use for it forever!!

Q: Doesn't "novelty" and "toy" usually mean its fake and doesn't work? So is this a real scanner or not?

I bought on after home quarantine started to make digital copies of slides. I didn’t want to invest a great deal of money in a scanner, but I wanted something that worked. I was very, very pleased. If you are looking to create high quality archival images, this is probably not for you. If you have slides you want to share digitally it will work very well. An added bonus was the ability to take images from View-Master reels. I would not call this a toy or a novelty item. It’s also not creating archival images. It works perfectly for what I needed.

copying negatives no good

tried copy of 35 mm colour negative strips.able to take photos and export them to the kodak app for processing to positive images.poor colour and contrast not correctible with editing soft eare.guess it will work better with 35 mm positive slides.not possible to use 120 negatives.

Just serves the purpose

The product serves the purpose as advertised. Still the hardboard unit is not steady, the app don’t have all options to recover photos. Value for the money spent is not there.
