I was sent a board that was already opened. So I rolled the dice and installed it. Doesn't work. Now I don't know if it's the board or still my dishwasher. Terrible

I’m not going to write a bad review for this board because it did what it was intended to do. However, the prices of these boards are getting higher and higher and at a certain point you might as well just get a new dishwasher. Our GE dishwasher worked great for 6 years, then the board died. Watched a quick tutorial video, ordered a board, fixed the issue no problem. However that replacement board only worked for a year, and I just ordered my second board. Installed the second board, and it works as intended, but why the heck am I doing this to myself? I am definitely never buying a GE dishwasher again, as I would hope my almost $1000 dishwasher would last me more than 6 years and then I have to burn almost $200 a year to fix it. Seems ridiculous. But anyway, board is easy to install, fixes the issue, but I expected better quality out of GE. Doesn’t seem like I’m the only one have a lifespan issue with their GE dishwashers too. Hoping this second board lasts at least two more years. I had a 30 year old whirlpool dishwasher before this that worked great until its last leg and I was hoping GE would provide more than 1/5 of that quality.

Fixed a stubborn 3 beep / blinking light "door open" 815 error code for us that wouldn't go away even after changing the door latch sensor. This seems to be a very common issue with these boards. Received in one day and appears to be 100% genuine GE oem

5yr old GE Model#GDT655ss. It would chime 3 times when start was pressed and start and run lights would alternate flashing. I got online and found a troubleshooting guide that directed me to remove kick panel, drop the bracket with the board on it, and diagnose using the codes generated by a flashing green LED in the middle of the board. ( I first tried running the diagnostic tests found in the online manual and flipping the breaker.) A look at my board revealed NO flashing LED, which means the board is bad. I used a 1/4" & 5/16" nutdriver, a pair of pliers, flashlight, and bifocals. 20 minutes of laying on my side later, I turned the breaker on hit start button and heard the sweet sound of sucess. Pretty easy and saved $200-$300 over a service call.

This motherboard fit like a glove, and solved an ever worsening problem with our GE dishwasher. The service confirming the fit and correctness of the board was excellent. I didn’t open the bag until I’d confirmed this was indeed the correct board. There are so many, and it’s easy to mistake a number in the product nomenclature. The fit was perfect, and be advised, the trays and supports are machine cut and punched. Edges are sharp. Pretty much by the numbers though. A high quality product. Was nice to flip the switch and have the machine kick right on. Call the service tech before you begin install. If it’s the wrong board, return and restock is gonna cost you half. He’ll help you get it right before you order.

Our washer stopped working on Thanksgiving. The board failure was confirmed by not detecting any power to the user interface board. I installed this replacement board yesterday and completed a first wash cycle today and everything is now working. A little history. This washer model # GTD655SSJ0SS was installed in our new home in November, 2016. The first board failed in December, 2020 and a replacement was purchased from GE Appliance Parts at that time. Exactly 4 years later the replacement failed. Hopefully we get at least another 4 years. It seems that this part is vulnerable to premature failure. The first Board was replaced for $80 and this one was purchased for $98 through Amazon which was much less expensive than GE Appliance Parts. Prices seem to be all over the place so worth shopping around.

Good morning- i ordered on of these in march and it corrected the problem- less than 4 months from purchase date the "board" has quit working and i was curious how to get it covered under warranty? Thanks....Dean

I'm having an issue where there's a loss of power randomly, it will come back by unplugging the harness underneath the unit, (sometimes takes several tries) I ordered this part and I hope it works. Model number is GDT635HMJ5ES. Update will be posted after I swap the part. (UPDATE) after using a troubleshooting technique I found on you tube I believe I ordered the wrong part for this problem. So now I ordered the top control interface. New control board was not installed.
