This has made a big difference with our old windows. Most of our windows are old single pane with a storm window. I put this insulation on the inside after taping up the storm window on the outside to stop air flow. The bedrooms are warmer now, and should be cooler this summer.

This insulation was easy to work with especially when cutting. I insulated my garage door with it using Alien tape to secure it to the door panels. I also used a left over piece to make a cover for my patio TV.

I was skeptical that this product would have decent insulation efficiency at only 5 mm thick but it really does better than fiberglass insulation, I used it to wrap my 8” metal ducts under my house (remember to not wrap the duct tightly cause a air gap is crucial for high efficiency) It’s also nice that you have no fiberglass itch or respiration issues in a 48” roll it applies quickly with less tape with one roll I covered 52’ including the distribution box.

I bought this a while ago, and I built a cold storage room for canned items and canning foods for a customer. I put up 1” by 3/4” Slats of wood over the drywall. Then painted everything and sealed it. Then I went through and cut all these pieces and use more of the wooden slats to go over it and hold it in place along with liquid nail. So there Is a gap between the drywall and this insulation. So when it’s 110 outside like it was the other day it’s 57° in there. Plus, I oversize the AC a little that helped I’m sure I recommend this stuff if you do it, it will definitely help tremendously!

GREAT at reflecting heat of the sun through glass. I used this on curved plexiglass windows in my sun room. Easily cut to size. If you live in a PUD and homeowners association doesn’t allow this sort of protection on regular sized windows you can slip sheets of this lightly stiffened, foam backed, aluminum material temporarily, with a piece of scotch tape, between the glass and curtain/window shade and remove it once the sun no longer shines on the glass. It’s really useful and since it’s temporary it’s not unsightly.
