Cash On Delivery Review: Iam not known for my manual dexterity.Indeed if I can I get someone in to adress maintenance issues I do. However I did lay this to cushion my new vintage and very expensive rug. It does the job beautifully . But my goodness cutting it was a marathon for me . The new scissors bought for the job managed what felt like an inch per hour ! Two hours later I triumphantly surveyed the somewhat ragged result.Dont get me wrong the product works well, but do get very sharp scissors or get someone in ! Review: We recently installed new LVP flooring in our basement and needed a protective rug pad for our 8x10' area rug. We initially tried the Mohawk grip felt rug pad but found out that our manufacturer didn't approve of the rubber backing so we went with this just felt version. We chose the 1/4" height which we found adequate if not just a bit high as it does raise the rug off the surface (see photo). Any larger and it would be a tripping hazard. The product arrived rolled and larger in size than our area rug so trimming was necessary. One side is rough to hold against the carpet and one is soft for the floor. We trimmed 2" off each side. The easiest way we found to trim it was to place the rug upside down, place the mat on top 2" offset from 2 corners and then trim the remaining two corners. We creased each and used a 4' straightedge to draw a line with a sharpie and we used a sharp boxcutter to make several small passes. We placed a remnant piece of carpet under the pad and cardboard so as to not cut through the rug. We've had the mat on for around one month now and on our 8x10' rug with some furniture on top have noticed no slipping. It gives perhaps a bit of cusion but not much but that wasn't our intent. We purchased it so that the rug would not scratch the flooring and for that it seems to be doing it's job. Overall I would say it's a good value and much cheaper than some competitor products. Positives + Great price compared to competitors + Seems like a well made product and from a reputable brand + Different size options and comes larger to allow for trimming + No noticeable smells or offgassing + Doesn't move when weighted with furniture. Did not try it without. I would imagine a heavy large rug may be sufficient but a smaller rug would need some type of rubberish backing to prevent slipping. Negatives - Even at the 1/4" height at offset the recommended 2" from the sides it still sticks up a bit which can gather some dust and perhaps be a tripping hazard. - This may be both a positive and negative in that since it is so dense it can be difficult to cut properly. A sharp new blade and several passes with adequate pressure seemed to work best.

I just purchased a new area rug and wanted a better under pad than what I had (just a thin gripper pad). I have a .47 pile height area rug (8x10) and wanted a 1/4” under pad. Other reviews say it is not “non slipping” but with the heavy area rug on top, it isn’t sliding anywhere! Plus I have furniture resting on 3 edges. Cuts easy with regular scissors. I love the plushness of my area rug with this under pad. Cost was a good deal for this quality underpad. I would certainly recommend it for a larger area rug.

Absolutely love this. ! I have a low pile carpet in my livingroom. It was driving me crazy with such a flat feel when you walked on it. I was ready to purchase another area rug more expensive with a higher pile. Decided I would try an under pad. Wow! What a huge difference. So glad I did this. Great quality. Great feel and seems to make the room that much cosier. Highly recommend this under any low pile area rug.

I was impressed with this Felt Pad.. so much so that this was my 2nd order of this product.. i will be ordering another slab of it in the near future as well.. WHY???? .. well since you asked.. its because it's dense.. i went through 3 pairs of scissors cutting through this material.... first it will bind your scissors so you have to keep pulling out the fibers that get wedged between the blades.. So they have to be a very sharp pair of scissors to cut through this dense material.... so i ordered the 1/4" thick Felt Pad but i measured it and its more 1/2" thick.. another reason why i ordered it again... there was another product that said 1/2" but i would have had to pay $60 import fee .. I DONT THINK SO TIM... so another reason why i bought this brand instead... so its thick and dense.. sure you know a person or two that have those qualities as well .. bhahahaha.. not only that.. i ordered the 8'x 10' slab of this material and once again.. i got an extra 2" .. so it was 8 ' x 10' 2" .. my living room is 10 ft wide.. if you can see in the photo... the pad goes up the baseboard another 2" .. so better to get more than less.. so once again.. this brand of Felt Padding is thick and dense and you get more for your buck.. so make sure you have a very sharp pair of scissors or its going to bind your blades.. i tried to saw it with blade but.. it pulls at the fibers.. so yes.. a good pair of SHARP SCISSORS to cut through this.. So thanks for reading .. WJ
