Can this charger charge 12 AA batteries at once or only 6 AA and 6 AAA at once?

Yes beco each bay runs it’s own cycle so you can charge a mixture of AA and AAA i do it all the time, the AA’s of course take longer.

Charger is new and does not appear to charge the batteries.Have put batteries in for hours. There is no read out to indicate charging and no results?

There is a visual on the screen. When you insert the batteries, make sure they have good contact with the charger by wiggling them. Once they begin to charge the screen will show the image of a battery progressively being filled (three segmented bars). When a battery is completely charged, the screen shows the same battery, but full

Why when I insert batteries to charge I see on the monitor-"Error"???

There can be various reasons for this: Are you using *rechargeable* batteries? Are the batteries inserted fully into the slots? Are the batteries inserted with the correct polarity? ...i.e. wth the top of the battery inserted into the "+" slot. Since I cannot actually SEE what you are doing, this is the best that I can offer. Bottom line: this device took very long (as much as 12 hours to recharge), so I gave it away, as it was too late to return for refund or exchange.

What is MAX ma batteries this will recharge??

The charging current is: AA: 500mA AAA: 250mA
