Grappa: Italy Bottled

The first half is a well thought out introduction to grappa. The second is an account of the author’s visits to as many grappa distillers as possible (in Italy) to get their stories and secrets. The book is profusely illustrated. An admirable work. If you are interested in grappa you should get this book.

This is a very informative and helpful book on grappa. I am learning much from reading it. The history of distillation, distillation techniques and styles of making grappa are excellent! It is like reading two books. The second part of the book is the author's trip to the many grappa distilleries, which include boutique distilleries as well as commercial distilleries. It is a good travel log with equally good pictures. I enjoyed reading it!

This is not a how to make Grappa book but it does have a lot of good info if you ever feel inclined to do so. It is more a fantastic read of the authors travels in Italy where grappa comes from. I make grappa and love this book and used it when when I went to Italy, great fun was had!!!

This is the best information on the secretive and sensitive art of distilling that I have found. It has a fair amount of arty stuff, which some poeple will probably like; but it has plenty of well presented REAL information that is very hard to find. Thankyou!

Very informative. Would have preferred more detail, but the grappa books are relatively rare.
