Classic Tales of Mystery (Leather-bound Classics)

I just love the way these books look on my shelf! I bought these last two so that I could complete the look on this shelf and I look forward to getting many more in the future!The books are of good quality. They stay open by themselves without much promoting and without cracking the spine which is a huge plus when looking for a book. The designs are always gorgeous so these books qualify simultaneously as pretty decoration and useful book to actually read. Very happy with my purchases.

It has a beautiful cover and gives a good sampling of stories and authors from the mystery genre.

I purchased this as a gift for a mystery lover. I was pleased with the collection which is a spectrum of classics. Many of these were likely read in years gone by and will enjoyed as a reread. Many are short stories and can be read while juggling a busy schedule. The leather bound, sturdy copy will hold up well to be passed about the entire family of readers. This is an excellent book. Nice bonded leather cover, good thick gilt pages, average size text. The story selection is pretty good as well. Kept me entertained but I love the classics.

I love mysteries and this book has some of the timeless classics. The book has great quality.

There's nothing to dislike unless you don't like books, however if that's the case then you wouldn't buy it anyway.

I can't believe that they can sell this book for such a low price. The book is as represented and the stories, so far, are excellent.

No wonder this one is on sale for $11. I’m a big fan of the leather bound classics by Canterbury Classics, but it looks like they put zero effort into this one. The end papers are monochromatic and boring, the spine is plain, the story selection is uninspired, and the cover art looks like an elementary school student’s first attempt at Photoshop. And what font did you choose for the cover.. “MysteryPredictableSerif”? Boo. Boo... You’re capable of so much better. Your leather bound editions of Le Morte d’ Arthur and The Great Gatsby are works of art!!

Ich habe das Buch für meine Enkelin bestellt, habe es snicht bereut. Aufmachung toll, der Ledereinband macht was her und der Goldschnitt der Seiten sieht auch toll aus. Meine Enkelin war begeistert vom Buch!

A beautiful leather bound book. Its stunning. Well made. Well worth the cost. The book is filled with classic horror stories from HP Lovecraft, Edgar Allen Poe, MR James, Algernon Blackwood and many others. Enjoyable creepy ghostly reads perfect for Halloween.
