Still, "Stompin in my PF Flyers" (Shout out to 'my boy' Nelly)
It's me again ya'll, a couple of years later and I'm still "Stompin in my PF Flyers"! Just bought a black pair (bought a white pair a couple of years ago) and I'm still "Jonny Quest" (old, black version) ha, ha! They feel great and look great and to literally be able to buy some some 50 years later makes me feel good! Well, until the next time...be cool ya'll!I was born in 1960 (still lookin good though I might add)...Ha, Ha and one of the first cartoons I remember watching as a kid was Jonny Quest (I own the entire box-set so that should tell you something) and I loved it! Anyway, I remember an old commercial that used to show Jonny Quest wearing PF Flyers (along with a PF Flyer magic ring that had a magnifying glass in it) so of course I begged my mother to buy me some PF Flyers (with the magic ring) which she did! Trust me, for a little black kid growing up in 1960's Chicago (West Sideee) you couldn't have told me when I was wearing 'my gear' (shoes and ring) I was not Jonny Quest ('black version')...Ha, Ha! My mother actually bought me a couple of pair but as the sixties drew to a close I never saw PF Flyers again (I assumed they'd gone out of business) until I saw a pair on the Internet recently. And even though it's almost fifty years later (since I wore them last) I HAD to have me another pair...hey...I'm 'old-school' (I assume though looking for the ring at this stage of my life would be a bit much huh?)...Ha, Ha! So this shout out also goes out to you 'momma' (she's gone to her glory now)...your little boy is STILL watching Jonny Quest and STILL wearing 'most' of 'my gear' (which now I guess makes me Jonny Quest...'old version')... Ha, Ha...while "Stompin in my PF Flyers"!

Your new favorite casual sneaker.
I am an old punker/ skater from the early 80s and all i wore was chucks or combat boots...and i use to walk miles and miles in Chucks - were talking 10 miles or more sometimes! But as an adult even walking a mile in Chucks sucks, they feel like I am wearing the box they came in, not the shoes themselves, Chucks have no cushioning or arch support what so ever. Blows my mind that Chucks are what professional Basketball players wore in the 1930s and 40s? PF Flyers are a much better shoe in every single way! They have some padding and some arch support so you can wear them all day and not feel like a hobo flip flopping around with shoe boxes tied to your feet. Simply put PF Flyers a not only a better looking shoe, but they are way more comfortable and in the midwest and other places they have the added benefit of being unknown - even thou in place like NYC and the West Coast they have been around since the 1930s! That said, these are not shoes to wear to go running or to wear to work if you stand on a hard surface all day. With the standing all day thing...get a good pair of running shoes with gel in both the heal and toes. $100+ running shoes will have the most padding and support you can get. And thats what you need if your standing in one place or doing a lot of walking on hard floors! That or custom insoles which run about $250! So spend the money on good shoes if you have to deal with standing all day! You only have one pair of feet, treat them well.

Awesomesauce!
I absolutely love these shoes! They'll feel a bit snug on you for the first use or so, but the canvas stretches out to a perfect fit. If you work a job where you are standing all day, these are definitely the shoes for you. They're also good for walking, though not better than, ya know, walking shoes.I originally bought these when I was promoted to Keyholder at Hot Topic, thus hours increased. My feet were absolutely killing me, then these shoes were suggested. No more hurt feet! I also love them because they look like Converse but aren't uncomfortable after a few hours.Though, I'd definitely recommend trying them in store first. I bought them online because this is my 3rd or 4th pair, so I already know what size I am. If there's a store local to you then go there to try them on. Get the pair that feels a bit snug. Not super tight, but snug. The sizes are a bit odd in that the two that'll fit you will either be snug or a bit too loose. The too loose one will get even looser over time, while the snug one will stretch to the perfect fit.If there aren't any stores nearby, then go with the size you normally get for shoes. They'd be your best guess. A bit snug? Wear them out. Too loose? Maybe exchange them for smaller. Insanely tight? Exchange for bigger.

Second Time Buying, still worth it.
I ordered a pair earlier this year for work, in which I am usually running around, standing around, and generally mobile. Needless to say after about 6 months, they look like a disaster. So now I have to tell you why I am buying them, after they trashed on me within' half a years worth of time. The biggest thing: comfort. These shoes to date, are the most comfortable working shoes I have ever worn. It certainly leads credence to the Posture Foundations foot bed. Whereas other work shoes have always left me sore after work, once I bought these it was pure bliss, no more pain, no more problems. So while the quality and construction of the shoe is a little dodgy, the lower vulcanized cup sides will start peeling and ripping within' 3-4 months, and probably in half a year even the PF logo will start to fall off.At the end of the day though, they are extremely comfortable. If you find a pair on sale even better. For the sale price that I am getting them at right now, I couldn't say no to not buying them again. Even if they only last me another 6-7 months, it will be worth it.Also as long as the shoes look good, you'll get compliments. I had people asking me about them all the time while they looked good. So there is that.
