This is perfect! The mesh is so fine you can barely see light through it. No grounds, silt or foreign debris at all! Great purchase!

This filter was great, and made the best coffee I've been able to brew, for about 4 months. Then it failed. The coffee brews, but then is stuck in the upper chamber and can not siphon to the lower chamber. I have tried to force water thru it to clean it, but it makes no difference. The filter does not come apart (except for taking the silicone ring off, which does nothing to clean out the filter itself.) It makes great coffee until it stops working after 4 months. To buy a new one is not expensive, unless you have to buy one 3 or 4 times a year!

I have a siphon coffee maker and this filter would not siphon the coffee thru the filter. It would clog every time.

Easy to clean and works great

This is not filtering as expected. This filter is slow. Ten minutes plus to filter what should take less then two minutes. Leaves water in upper chamber and does not completely empty. About half an inch over the top of the filter of water left.

Coffee syphons are great demonstrators in science class and keep the teacher in coffee. When the kids help clean up you can lose your original filter. So I upgraded. Wow, much better, with the silicon edges to seal, the finer metal mesh, the improved coffee maker make better coffee. It significantly improved the quality of the coffee without requiring special training, coffee, or anything else. Worth the extra from the cheap unit.

Works, this will let very fine fines into cup, but the coffee still tastes clean. Easy to use and clean.
