What I love most is that I didn’t have to return them—they work perfectly! They stay sturdy and clamp beautifully, holding the plates securely in place. I actually prefer these over traditional clamps. Great quality and definitely worth it!

I reviewed these on an earlier pair I bought, expressing disappointment they didn't fit one of my bars, but was fine on the other four. I suspect this single bar was mismanufactured, with a slightly larger diameter than called for, hence was unable to accommodate these collars. One broke, so I ordered this pair to replace that one, plus have an extra on hand. I really like the way these function, compared to a different type I used for years. Despite the fact they didn't fit one of my bars, and one of the collars broke, I'll still continue to use and recommend them, as they're relatively inexpensive.

I like the first set I purchased of these so much, that I ended up buying for more just because they work so well and I am so lazy. So here’s the count: one set for each dumbbell (2), one set for the curl bar, one set for the overhead lat attachment, and one for the leg lift attachment. I have of course purchased different colors just for fun. I have 1 inch straight ends and 1 inch threaded ends, for which these work amazingly well. I’m not putting a whole lot of weight on the dumbbells and I’m also not tossing them around at all sorts of angles or jerking them about. The threaded metal collars that came with the dumbbells were constantly slipping, even with only 2.5 pounds on each end where these are really solid. If I ever got to the point where the weight didn’t feel solid on the dumbbells, I’d use a combination the original metal screw on holders and then these. So it would be weight plate, metal screw on holders, and then these clamps to prevent slipping.

Wanted a quick releasing barbell clamp for my 1" barbell for home use. I am not sure how well these would be in a commercial or professional setting, however for my home use they are serving their purpose. The product is easy to use - a quick lift on the pressure release clamp and its slides on or off a 1" barbell. The clamp seems to hold the weights I am using in place - I have not tested with significant weights yet - maybe nothing more than 50-60 lbs on one side. These seem to work best on a smooth finished barbell verses a barbell with grooves (where you have a spin lock collar or screw clamp). On this type of set up it does seem to slip a bit more, however, I wanted to get away from a squeeze lock/clamp and spin lock clamp to be able to change out weight quicker between exercises. Again, for the home use I am using it for it works well and was at a good price point.

I was worried about how well these would fit my 1" barbell. I've seen reviews on other clamps similar, and they said that they slip and don't truly fit the barbell. I've not had that problem - these are fantastic. So much better than the metal clamps that are a pain in the rear to out on and take off. The plastic material has been surprisingly sturdy and seems made well. They lock tight and don't budge. I plan to buy at least 1 more set. Great value!

So as like a lot of people during the COVID 19 pandemic I was forced out of my gym and into my basement. I had a few sets of old 1" dumbbells and weights that I blew the dust off of. These dumbbell bars the the small 1" style with the threaded ends. I think a lot of people probably have these. They worked well for a little while, but the inside ring started slipping. Real pain in the rear. So I knocked the rings off completely and bought these. So they work well as described. Very easy to take on and off, problem is that they do not hold tight enough for heavy weight. They constantly slide, kind of dangerous on the bench. If you are using anything heavier than 10lbs plate on each end, so 25 lbs dumbbells, you will probably notice the clamps sliding. I still use them, but I put them on the inside next to my hands so that at least the plates wont potentially crush my face when benching. Rather a pinched finger than broken nose. I don't think this is a flaw with the brand, just the fact that not 1" clamp probably has the grip strength of a Olympic plate clamp.

I bought a weights bar from another retailer and the clamps it came with just didn't allow for adjusting the weights during a work at all. (Infact once the clamps were on they didn't come off with out a fight). Bought these barbell clamps (in black) to solve my problems and they did! Would give the product more stars if I could. Well worth the money. I love being able to work out at home and these things made it possible. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
