Great product.
Great product... oh wait how would I know. It's a week after it was supposed to arrive and I still don't have it. I suggest you choose from any other vendor, especially for the same product

Gallium great, spoon a disappointment, advice?
The gallium is as advertised. Two attempts to make the gallium spoon were failures. Couldn't inject gallium into tiny hole. Appeared that air resistance was preventing gallium from going in, so could get only some gallium in each time, not enough for viable spoon.

Super cool metal!, liquid at body temp...but solid at room temp! It does take a little longer to melt than I had imagined!
Wow! This stuff is cool! I am a science teacher, and love to say that "Magic is just Science we don't understand yet!" Well if they don't know about Gallium...there's all sorts of room for making some "magic" here!First things first though, there has been very little research on Gallium, so reports vary widely as to it's toxicity... Most say totally safe, but others say it could be toxic. So be SAFE! (wear gloves...)INTERESTING Facts about GALLIUM:* It fractures like glass or obsidian if you hit a good sized chunk. Be careful, makes very sharp, shards. (brilliant shiny surface)* It expands like water when it "freezes", so DON'T store it in a glass or other un-bendable container... it will burst it!* Do not let it come into contact with aluminum... it reacts slowly but violently, destroying the aluminum at the molecular level, and making a new very weak alloy... which can be re-divided by water... which releases hydrogen gas... (Some have said you could power cars with hydrogen, using nothing but Gallium, aluminum, and water) {Gallium keeps being re-used in this chemical cycle/process.}The price and purity looks very good, and the sample size is quite nice, it's a surprisingly good sized chunk of Gallium. I am very pleased!CON's- or possible improvements-* Two issues with the little plastic bottle the Gallium came in: 1) My daughter was playing with it, and somehow the "frozen" gallium on the inside, had enough roughness to it, to just barely puncture the plastic bottle... so as it melted, some leaked out... So DON'T squeeze the bottle at all. 2) It would be much handier if the bottle had a top that was as large or larger than the body... that way you could remove the gallium in it's solid form... 3) If you do handle this with bare hands...it will leave residue on your hands... looks like graphite pencil discoloration...or like you handled raw lead quite a bit... (I would scrub this off quickly and thoroughly to be safe.) 4) Oh, and it does take a fair bit longer to melt, than I had thought it would, especially for larger pieces... so account for that in your "Magic" ! :-)Overall, I am very happy to have been able to purchase this at a moderate discount...and would recommend it to anyone that just has to have some!**I purchased this at a discount in exchange for my promise to provide my 100% honest and impartial review, which I promise I am giving here. (This does not keep me from giving 1, 2, or 3 star reviews or full praise as warranted.) Let me know if you have any questions at all.

Science fun
I had a hard time convincing my family that I wasn't playing with mercury and that gallium is safe to handle. It is the neatest thing, it slides around like water and feels slightly cool to the touch. This is pure science fun for all ages.It arrived in a plastic screw-top bottle. To get it out I immersed the bottle in hot water (not too hot, about the temperature you'd drink your coffee at.) After letting it "steep" for awhile (I also had to reheat the water once) it was completely melted inside the bottle and I was able to pour it into my hand. You definitely want a plate or something underneath, it is very messy. It also makes your hands grey, as if they were covered in graphite. A paper plate works, the gallium slides right off.To put it back into the bottle is a bit of a challenge. I got some on the outside of the bottle so I put it into a ziplock bag and once it cooled I easily dropped the small pieces back in.One warning, gallium bonds to aluminum so keep all aluminum away. It will ruin it.*I received this product at a discount for honest and unbiased review purposes. My review is my personal opinion.
