Gift Corral Plastic Boot Jack

This boot jack isn't for looks, nor is it for status. Rather it lives in my closet and cleanly pulls off my boots at the end of the day. I find it especially useful when I have a newer pair of boots that hasn't been broken in fully yet. The foot step (to hold the boot jack down) is comfortable to stand on even when wearing just socks. It flexes just enough to grab the heel of the boot and is at the right angle to get some leverage against a sticky situation. One key would be to ensure the boot heel is fully down in between the fingers so the boot doesn't slide out. Is it durable? The plastic is very strong, but flexes a wee bit which leads me to believe that instead of cracking and/or breaking, it will flex slightly to allow for movement. The surface inside of the fingers is smooth and has not scratched any of my city boots. I would recommend this as a simple, effective boot jack.

Bought this for our store, as we sell boots and galoshes. Received timely, good price point, and does the job. Can't ask for much more.

Bought this to carry in my backpack when I travel and wear boots through the airport. Works PERFECTLY. Light, easy to carry and makes it 100% easier to take off my cowboy-type boots.

A very good boot jack and very inexpensive. My only suggestion for improvement is to widen the base 1 to 2 inches to make it more stable and make the opening slightly wider. The angle from the floor is correct to make removing my western boots easy. I bought it as a pattern for boot jacks I am making from wood in my shop. Overall, a good buy!

I should have read all the reviews about this product. Granted, it does what it supposed to do, durable and simple, but even though it is plastic, the inside part is not very smooth and can scratch your boots around the boot heel. Look at the attached pictures. Maybe with a liner, it would prevent the scratching. Too late for me now, my favorite boots got scratched and must be repair. Luckily I didn't use it on my Lizard leather boots!.The product and the concept is great, I gave it one star because it damaged my boots and I am not happy about it.

THE GOOD: The boot jack does what it supposed to: Let's you remove your boots with ease.THE BAD: Don't use it on a really nice pair of boots because it will markup the sides of your best boots around the heal. I wear men's 10 1/2 to 11 boots and the opening just isn't big enough. Doesn't seem to matter how careful I am - it just happens. It's rough on heals for my size boot.

My heart wanted a rustic wooden cool looking boot jack. My head won out and I purchased this one. It works great. I dreaded putting my boots on because it was so difficult to take them off. (arthritis) Now it's not a problem. It's not rustic or fancy. It's functional and does the job.
