Q: I make my cabinets with 1/2” plywood what are the chances I drill Through

The preset drilling depth of the bit is 1/2" and would drill through if not stopped before fully plunged.

Q: What’s the diameter of the hole drilled?

The CabinMate comes with 2 drill bit’s, one is 1/4 of a inch, and the other should be 3/8 of an inch, to accommodate the shelf pin diameter to be used. The bit’s can be changed out with the use of a small Allen wrench that comes with the kit. Please read the directions for changing the bit’s very carefully, and follow them so that you maintain the preset depth from the manufacturer. This may be a little more information then your original question asked for, but I felt it was important to share it with you. Good luck with your project.

Q: Is the stop (length) in the drill bit adjustable? Or does it only sit at 1/2"??

The drilling depth of the Shelf Pin Bit included with the set is not adjustable.

Q: will this work with a 5mm shelfpinbit?

Yes, the Milescraft 1316 CabinetMate will work with a 5mm shelf pin bit. This kit only includes a 1/4" shelf pin bit, you will want to purchase a 5mm bit.
