Oak Exterior Door Sill

I have attached pictures of the backside of the sill where I tested the stain, the finished piece stained and poly'd. And the sill in place. The project is not yet finished, so please excuse the rough surroundings. A little bit of explanation for an outside sill that is being placed inside. I was replacing a 40+ year old sill which used to go to outside stairs, an addition was put on for a laundry room. This fit perfectly when the old broken one was removed. Very happy and would recommend to anyone looking to replace a sill.

The product is as made from a beautiful piece of red oak. Size and dementions were as specified. Just 2 small issues....first it wasn't milled as traditional sills in new england so there was a little work to use it ...second it takes a long time to receive via snail mail .Not this companies fault but if ur waiting to get a job done faster delivery would help

Door sills such as the one I bought cost a lot more at lumberyards. This one was priced fairly and the sill was top quality; fit perfectly after I trimmed the "ears" a bit and just needed to be primed and painted.

I looked in all the big hardware stores for a replacement sill for my back door. I couldn't find one that fit and I would have to buy a piece of lumber and cut it to specs. This oak sill fit a 32" wide door perfectly. I just cut the old one out and slid this one in. They also make a 36" wide one also. I recommend you get this especially if you have an older home that uses wood sills. It is the perfect size. It is expensive but it made the entry way look nice.

This oak door sill worked like a charm and looks fantastic. I used exterior varnish on my sill so the wood looks fantastic. It was an exact replacement for my old sill.

It's hard finding parts for a 65 year old house that don't have to be custom made. This was a nice change.

The item is a good wood product. It is thinner than it's equal available in the big box store. Shims were necessary for a perfect fit.
