Gripping from the first page- enter into the world of the Huey pilots of Vietnam.
If you are wanting to know or are researching what the Vietnam War was like on all fronts, I couldn’t recommend better books than the ones written by Bill Peterson. His first hand accounts and writing are phenomenal and takes the reader into the front door of the hell that is war, but also has you cheering in the many small miracles that Huey pilots performed every single day during the Vietnam War.Thank you for this book and the many other accounts of your life Bill, and most of all thank you for your service to our country- it will never be forgotten, especially by those who read your words.

A Great Book!
William Peterson has done it again! This book will grab you by your heart and twist it. The grunts and chopper crews are completely disclosed about the horrors they faced each day and their fears and feelings inside. The soldiers on the ground were totally dependent on the courage of the flight crews each time they found themselves in a horrible situation. If the crews werent up to snuff in this area, a lot of good men would die. William Peterson never holds back when telling his story of terror, shock, fear, blessings, and fun times (which were few) during his tour in Vietnam. He and the other young men in his books experience a comradrie that others can never imagine, fighting for each other's lives. This book is definetly a great read! So much so that Ive already read it twice.

Chopper Warriors:Kicking the Hornets Nest by William Peterson
Excellent book, I loved the format of and the stories that were told from different people. It made me cry, laugh, angry all the emotions were there during different stories. I recommend this book.

Interesting read of Chopper pilot's war in Vietnam
I enjoyed reading this interesting book of a Chopper pilot's memory of his time in Nam. As a retired Marine officer I appreciated and salute those who gave us so much great support.

Good read
It's an interesting view into the lives of Vietnam combat vets. I liked the combination of grunts and aircrews points of view on operations. Good for someone looking to find out about the lives of someone who was a combat vet. Thanks to all who contributed and thanks for your service to US.

Good read ,a compilation of events from various missions from a crew chief gunners view. It dovetails with other books I've read.

Spellbinding!
Bill's books are the type of stories that can't be told without living through the experience and he did it and does a masterful job putting it in your mind! I've read both of his books and am anxiously awaiting his third one! Sure that the wait will be worth it!

Poor quality writing
Couldn't finish this book - I threw it away in frustration. Poor quality writing; written as a Hollywood blockbuster rather than a historical recollection. Everything is over dramatised and difficult to believe.
