I bought this after struggling for months with my net not fitting my packs built in net holster (I’d need a bit more of a mid length net and really didn’t feel like buying a new net).The magnet is strong and has held my net while crossing some pretty swift currents, but it’s not too strong that it makes my net hard to pull off my back. It functions exactly like I would want it to: clips onto the back of my lumbar pack, and holds my net steady.The one downside, and this really isn’t the products fault, is that it’s very possible to pinch your finger when trying to get your net back on the keeper. But that sting kind of reminds you to slow down.

I bought this for my fishing net and I am so happy with how strong the magnet is. They're not so strong you can't pull them away with one hand, but they hold amazingly no matter what you are traversing through. If you have something you are constantly clipping for this is great. It one time stuck to the tip of my handle and I thought it reconnected, but the magnet is so strong it kept my net in place by its handle tip!

Tried the top name brand ones from the local fly shop and returned them as the magnets did NOT hold. Got this to give it a shot based on reviews and the great price. DANG the magnets have an incredible hold!!!!!!!!! Actually so good that if you have a bit of skin in the way it is going to pinch it and it hurts. Use them for holding my net to my back hook, and also my wading staff to my belt. Works perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It has a very strong and reliable. Strong enough to hold your net but not hard to release the magnetic tension when you need to enable your net. I'd give it a 5/5 but I do wish the magnet was a bit bigger for peace of mind. I do recommend this product.

a must for sling pack or hip bag guys keeps the net out of the way and accessible while giving you the ability to drop it and not freak out a must for every avid fisherman. no rust strong magnetism and good carabiner action still after a full spring and summer season

The magnets seem very strong. Perfect for the intended purpose. The item came extremely fast.

Broke on very first outing. Magnet is strong enough, the glue holding the magnet failed moments after getting into water. My net doesn't float, but miraculously I was able to retrieve it by feeling around in chest deep water. Didn't work for me. Seen another review out of England where exact same thing happened to some one else. That person posted pictures.
