Fantastic meter to measure radiation -- great company customer service!
We bought this to test radiation emitted from cell phones. We highly recommend this meter. It provided accurate measurements, and we learned how to use it quickly, even though we had no experience with it. The manufacturer has been fantastic and truly helpful on several calls and emails. They were quick to reply and happy to help answer my questions. Their customer service was amazing. From what we have learned from buying this meter, our cell phones are giving off more radiation than we thought ... be careful, everyone! Keep your cell phones away from your bodies (use speaker phone) and limit your time on calls.

Meter used to check my enviroment
I received the meter but am not sure how to use it and do not know what the readings mean. The manual that comes with it did some what explain how the meter works. Did find someone on line that makes an attempt to explain how the meter works. He says to use cm2 but I could not get any readings and used m2 to get some readings.[...] The seller seems eager to answer any questions concerning the meter, below is an answer to one of my questions. Hello, I'd be glad to help you to understand and interpret your readings. For people who do not have previous experience with EMF meters, we recommend you use "μ W/cm2" (microwatts per square centimeter) as your unit of measurement. You can change this by pressing the "Unit/Enter" button until the unit you want appears; it will be just below the readings and to the right of the "XYZ" symbol on the screen. This is a much less sensitive unit of measurement and will probably make it easier for you to read. Although there is no universally agreed upon "safe levels" of EMF radiation, we believe that users should not let the readings exceed 0.003 μ W/cm2 in their environment. Anything above this is considered unsafe, and may require steps to be taken in order to reduce the radiation levels you are being exposed to. For example, a reading of 0.002 would be a safe environment, while a reading of 0.008 would indicate moderate levels of harmful radiation, and a measurement of 0.205 would mean you are being exposed to dangerously high levels of EMF. If you wish to use the unit "mV/m" (millivolts per meter), then we consider a reading of up to 40 mV/m to be safe. A result between 40 - 100 mV/m is a cause for concern, and if the readings exceed 100 mV/m, then this a very dangerous amount. The meter is not reading anything different when you switch the unit of measurement, it is just showing the results in a different way (like converting centimeters to inches). It should be noted that this meter will detect the radiation being emitted by any wireless devices that are transmitting in the area; this means that any cell phones, cordless phones, WiFi routers, Bluetooth devices, smart meters, and so forth will all affect your meter’s readings. If you want to detect EMF from a single specific source, such as cell towers near your home, then you will need to turn off all of these devices before you begin taking measurements. However, if you want just a general reading of your environment, then you can leave all of these turned on.

Great device
Overall, I love this device. It appears to be very accurate based on tests with other similar devices and it seems to measure most of what I would like it to. The one thing I wish it did is measure in milli gauss.

good meter, needs more instruction manual
Works fine but not enough in the instruction manual for a lay user. No help with what to do after getting a high reading, back to square one.

An Excellent Meter
Works exactly as described. Has been an eyeopener to say the least regarding exactly where the high emissions are originating within my house. It was quick to see that my WIFI unit and cordless phone system are the two of the highest steady offenders! It allowed me to quickly relocate my WIFI unit further away from me, as it used to be sitting right in front of me! By simply moving it about a 18" away, the radiation dropped significantly from 3-4 volts down to around 500 millivolts - still high, but much better. I also found that my Sharp Carousel microwave oven shield doesn't stop near the radiation we have all been led to believe. I found that you need to stand back at least 5-6 feet from it when running for the radiation to drop down from a whopping 15 volts down to around 300 millivolts. …. and like a fool, I have often had my face right up to the window watching things cook, thinking that I was being shielded!! And finally, it has been an eye opener to see the amount of radiation we are all bombarded with as we drive on the roads. It's certainly quick and easy to locate cell towers nearby! I do recommend that you have someone else watching the meter - and you keep your eyes on the road! The instructions need to be improved greatly. While they get you up an going immediately on the basic operation, it would be nice if they went into more detail on each of the different settings. and how and why they are available. I think they were made for someone knowledgeable in the field. Having said this, I do put it upon myself to do my own homework and learn more about what I am monitoring with the unit. I don't expect them to include an electrical engineering course with it. I will probably call them and ask for a short explanation of which unit of measurement they recommend I use, and what the recommended "safe" levels should be.

A great device. The You Tube video helps you understand how to read EMF levels. I've loaned it out to friends as well. Have had the meter for a while now. I have really high levels of radiation near my router in my living room and have managed to use it to lower radiation levels in my bedroom. The wall my smart meter is located on has much higher levels of radiation as well. It is helping me to safeguard my home. Very impressed.

This product works very well to detect radiation at home and outside. It’s shocking how high the levels are and we adjust our electronics accordingly. My bf dropped it and the ball at the top broke in half but it still works perfectly, we just tapped it back together

Dommage que ce soit d’anciens modèles car en effet les mesures ne sont plus adapté à notre époque, c’est appareil est dépassé pour certaines mesures. Dommage
