and was pretty excited to see if it would be as helpful ...
I originally found out about this mug through an alert from the Tremor Awareness Network, and was pretty excited to see if it would be as helpful as I had hoped. It's even better than I could have dreamed. Not only can I carry a full cup of liquid w/o leaving a trail of spills on the floor from my shaky hand, I didn't even spill when I tripped over my own feet because of the ingenious handle design. In addition to the stability the rotating handle keeping the cup level provides for those of us w/tremor, it also comes w/a travel mug style cap so I can sit in just about any position and drink w/o fear of sloshing the whole cup down the front of my shirt. It's not just good for movement disorder patients though. I also picked one up for my mother w/severely advanced rheumatoid arthritis who has had both wrists fused and only has a few fingers she can still use which severely inhibits her ability to carry anything. She's loving her mug also. The first day she used it was the first time in years she was able to have a full cup of coffee and be able to carry it herself plus tip it so she could drink out of it.The only downside to this mug is the cost, but it's not a big enough downside to have prevented me from purchasing several (for myself & mum, plus another for the mother of a friend who also has tremor). It's worth every penny to be able to carry a full cup like a 'normal' person. And I have every hope that the cost will come down over time so I can buy even more lolSo if you're looking for an assistive food serving product for yourself or family members, this is a must have.

Took the anxiety out of drinking
I bought this for my mother in law who suffers from tremors. It's fantastic! She's a tea drinker and the simple act of drinking a cup of tea was fraught with frustration, concentration, spills, and anxiety. She's so much more comfortable. The grip works like a charm. I bought her one for our place and two for her at home. Bonus: The customer service for this company is fantastic. She did break the handle on one of the cups, but I contacted the company and their representative said that it shouldn't have happened. She apologize for the flaw and they very quickly sent out a replacement cup.

Disappointed
I can see how this mug would work for someone who doesn't have essential tremors but it did not help my mother in law at all. It is good quality but she couldn't use it. Maybe it would help someone who is just a little shaky.

Hand steady drinking cup with lid
This was advertised for a person who has a disability such as tremors, Parkinson's or MS. First off the material is cheap plastic with a lid. Second the lid did not fit and just kept popping off. Third, there's no insulation and the cup stays upright with the handle moving around. My husband has MS and couldn't even begin to hold it to drink out of it. We could have gotten a better cup at Walmart. It is so unfortunate that companies take advantage with outrageous prices for accessibility items that are necessary for a disabled person. It is one thing to pay the price for quality items., but, another to pay an outrageous price for something that is so cheap. Most likely cost a dollar to make. Sad!

light weight cup, fantastic moving handle, rim made poorly
my mom has parkinsons. the cup is very light, which is wonderful, LOVE the turning handle-wonderful, but the lid is thinly made, My mom pulled the lid off once and now the edge(rim) is broken. The cup is expensive, so we are using a straw in it now. IF the rim of the top was made a bit more sturdy I would give it a 5 star.

It works!
I bought this for my grandfather who has tremors. He loves it. My only complain is the size - it’s a little small, but it does what is advertised. I’d buy it again.

did not really work
my mother has really bad tremors. Tried this with the handle up and down did not work for her. She still spilled stuff. It might work with someone who has mild to moderate tremors but not bad ones. Like the concept. Wish it had worked for her.

Good Product
I was already aware of this product through my work and so purchased one for my sister who has MS and is slightly unsteady with her balance when walking. She can now carry a hot drink from the kitchen to the sitting room knowing that if she loses her balance, the hot drink won't spill over her as the cup remains upright and it also has a lid. Sometimes her wrist is painful so the fact that you only need to bring the cup up to your mouth to tilt it without moving your wrist is perfect. The delivery was quick and I would certainly recommend this product for anyone with mobility problems.

Expensive for what it is
It does work but I think it's expensive for what it is.

Okay!
Not totally sold on this item. Will be hard for my father to use and it rotates way too easily.

Simple, effective and good looking no spill mug
This is an excellent product which has made a huge difference to my father's everyday life, enabling him to drink without fear of spilling or lifting his arm awkwardly, as he does with a regular cup.It looks and feels like a regular cup though, and does not look out of place on the shelf with all the other family mugs. So simple and obvious, it is a wonder it wasn't invented it before!
