My inlaws decided to try a garden in raised garden beds this season. They started out small with only 2 beds. From way early in the season we could already see holes in the leaves and little bugs all over the plants. A friend advised I need some lady bugs to help control the bugs. I thought it was really odd to use a bug to control bugs but I thought why not. I came to the internet and found this listing. I read others experiences and assumed we would get a bag of half dead ladies but that didnt happen at all. Ours were very lively. It was pretty hot the day they arrived so I put them in the fridge as advised and waited till later afternoon. It was cloudy qnd rained earlier in the day so I assumed it would be a great day to release them. I opened the bag and went over to the tomato plants and tapped it on the side and a ton of bugs came crawling out. At first I got nervous and started to panic because I didnt know how to control them and they were running from that bag like it was a black friday sale. Then I smartened up and realized that if I tip the bag back and tap it just like I did to get them out it would knock them back and I could move on to the cucumbers. I ended up letting the whole bag out the first night. I even put some over the fence on to the neighbors garden. I can tell you we dont have any more holes in the leaves of the garden. They have no harvested a couple times and tomatoes and cucs are still growing in. These were a great idea and really helped control the aphids and whatever else like to munch on vegetables that arent theirs. We are very happy with our turn out.

As soon as I received these guys I marched into the garden and released them. I placed them around the garden in about 4 different spots and as soon as they got out of the bag they started to crawl up on plants and got busy eating aphids. There may have been a few dead ones but that was my expectation. Overall I'm very pleased and would buy them again in a heartbeat. Worth every penny in my opinion.

The Ladybugs arrived as promised and all of them are vigorous and very active. The deliveryman left them in our mailbox, DESPITE the clear warning on the package to not do so! No fault of the seller or Amazon. I first looked on the doorstep, and when they were not there, looked at my Amazon order online where it specified that the deliveryman left the pkg in the mailbox. So glad the information was available to let me retrieve them quickly.I applaud Amazon's fast delivery notification system, and the seller's use of the Amazon delivery system for this purpose. Fortunately, they were delivered while our mailbox was still shaded. They are now in our fridge till this evening (per instructions on pkg), when I will release them.If I had really thought through the risk of them being delivered on one of our cloudless summer afternoons, and subject to killing heat, I would have opted for delivery to a pickup location where they would be kept in an air-conditioned environment.Thank you Gardner and Amazon!

My ladybugs arrived safely inside a paper sack, with a window and some straw. The sack was inside a cardboard box. There weren’t really any instructions so I googled how to release them. It said to mist down the plants and release during dawn or dusk. I forgot to mist the flowers down, and I released them in the morning. I pulled the little straw pile out and was shaking them into my roses and the ladybugs started crawling out like crazy, up my arm, on my shirt, in my hair 🤣 I’ve never seen so many ladybugs at one time! Unfortunately, when I got home from work they had all flown away! I looked at another article and it said that it’s best to release them at dusk, because ladybugs don’t fly in the dark, so they will have to stay in your garden longer. I think if I would had wet everything down first they would have stayed longer, too. I will definitely purchase again, and maybe only let 1/2 of them out at a time. It think I got 150 the first time.

The media could not be loaded. This is the first time I’ve ordered live ladybugs (1,500 qty). The ship date was going to be a few weeks after my order date, so I reached out to the seller, Gardner Time, directly to ask if they can ship them sooner. A company rep (or owner?) replied within a day and shipped them a day or two later! Wow, that was awesome customer service!! All of my 1500 ladybugs arrived alive and ready to eat, but, I wasn’t ready to release them until the weekend (weather delay), so in to the fridge they went for 4 days. Last evening, at dusk, I released the ladybugs all around my home: veg garden, wildflowers, roses, and hydrangeas to name a few. This morning, I still have lots of happy little ladies chomping away on the whiteflies on and around my hydrangeas. There were enough ladybugs to share with one of my neighbors. Please note: No instructions were included in the box, so for the best experience, it is important to know how and when to release ladybugs ahead of time, and, about keeping them around, so I recommend doing an internet search and do your homework before ordering. The lack of included printed instructions is the reason for 4 stars. That said, when you’re ready to order, I highly recommend this seller!
