Speck Products CandyShell Case for iPhone 5c, Cadet Blue/Caribbean Blue

I owned a 4S speck case with the flexible back hinge and when I upgraded to the 5C - I wanted that same quality, design and protection that my previous speck case offered. I wanted a blue case for my white phone. The color was exactly as photographed - navy blue with sky blue accents. Went perfectly with my apple sky blue 3 inch charger component in same color. Perfectly fit my Iphone 5C snug and aligns with all the buttons, speaker and charger port.Putting it on is fast and easy right out the box..... taking off..... You'll have to master removing the case from its edges as it's really secure once its on but it IS protective. I don't have any scratches or a cracked screen and I've dropped it on concrete, carpet, brick and tile flooring. Its fallen at normal speed from shoulder or table heights. Survived and thrived as planned!In order to uses NON-Apple charger pieces (I have two 8 pin 10 ft chords) I do have to remove the cover completely to get the pins to have the correct fit. To me, its not that's not a big deal if you're charging in a stable location like a desk or night stand. If I'm in the car, I have to take about a minute to remove before driving. Then put the cover back on before exiting the car. I've used this case and my apple 5C case interchangeably depending upon which charger I'm using. Works perfectly with factory edition charger.

This is my third Speck case. I had one for my iPhone 4s for about 9 months. It worked like a champ, but then the little plastic piece surrounding where the plug goes in broke, so I ordered another Speck case. It worked fabulously until my 4s crapped out at the age of 13 months (one month out of warranty!). I had to get a new phone, so I got an iPhone 5c and another Speck case. I have converted a couple of my girlfriends to Speck cases too. I even convinced another shopper at the apple store to buy a Speck case! I have dropped my phone so many times, but it has never ever shattered as long as the Speck case was on. It is somewhat difficult to get the phone out of the case, but that's the point - it's protective and will not just fall out of the case. The back of the case will get scratched up from normal use. Who cares - the phone is protected!

I had great luck with my Speck case for my iPhone 3. When I upgraded to the 5c, I thought, why change cases when I had such a good experience before? I specifically wanted the cadet blue/Caribbean blue and found it to be very true to the colors depicted on the website. It slipped on very easily and looks great. I love how the back of the case is smooth and slides into pockets easily. My husband grabbed a "military" brand case for his 5s and it's already bothering him because it sticks in his pockets. I'm glad I held out for the speck candyshell! I can't speak to the performance of the new case compared to my old one, but I can say my old phone was dropped many times over the 3+ years I had it and it was never damaged. It only cracked last week when it was dropped but after 3 years that's pretty good wear and I was due for an upgrade anyways.

LOVE speck cases. really great. have no trouble with any of the buttons [specifically the silencer switch which ive had issues with with past cases. -- it is a bit low in the hole, but i have no problem flipping it]. its smooth and slim enough that i have no trouble getting it in and out of my pockets. the hole for the charger has prevented me from using my favorite [very long] charger, but thats more the fault of the cord than the case. it fits any standard cord with more than enough room to spare, even [just barely] fitting my second favorite cord, which is still larger than average [about 3/8"]. i thought i could try just pulling it out of the case when using that specific cord, but its a bit too much of a hassle to do it on a regular basis, which is actually a good thing: the case doesnt come off too easily.so overall its great, just beware that your charger isnt too big.
