Aunque cuenta con conexiones para una fácil instalación, típicamente la toma de agua eN México es derivada desde una tubería de diámetro mayor que las conexiones provistas por el proveedor y tendrán que adaptar de lo existente en el mercado. En mi caso, fue necesario comprar una manguera coflex + una "TE" de acero galvanizado y una adaptación rápida para conectar con la manguera de suministro de agua al filtro (foto 2). Dada la forma de filtrar el agua (osmosis inversa), el sistema deshecha una gran cantidad de esta (la mayoría de ella), lo cual me parece inadecuado y deberá buscarse la forma de aprovechar esta agua sin tratamiento (retorno a cisterna o en un depósito alterno) De acuerdo al manual (foto1), el rechazo de agua es del 86% !!!

We wanted to get a reverse osmosis system for drinking water, but with so many random companies out there selling reverse osmosis systems, I decided to go with Whirlpool because I recognized the brand and knew they'd still be around in the coming years. I didn't want to have to replace the system if I had trouble getting filters.I can't speak to installation because my brother did it for us, but he didn't mention any major issues. He's not a plumber, just a guy who can read directions and figure stuff out.The taste of the water is fantastic. There's a huge difference. Replacing filters has been super easy. We have the filters on the Amazon subscription service to ship out every six months. I downloaded a PDF of the directions that I keep and reference whenever we need to sanitize and purge the system. Overall, we are super happy with this purchase.The complaints: The faucet is terrible. Replacing the battery is pointless, and it rusts up anyway. At one point the faucet started to leak from the air gap, and my brother had to disassemble and reassemble the faucet to clean it out. I think one of the tubes disconnected somehow. It's given us issues but seems too difficult to replace, so we'll just deal with it.

I had a more expensive system that they discontinued it's filters so had to put in a new system. We chose this one because it was the closet to the one we had. Our water is awful where we live. This changes it to as good as bottled water. We won't be without a system.
