I was skeptical because of the price, but figured $9 wasn't too big of a risk. When it arrived I was even more skeptical given the packaging (I'm sorry, but the packaging looked like a dollar store knockoff). I decided to try it on my (shorthair) cat as soon as I got home though, and I was actually pleasantly surprised. It took me a few minutes to figure out the angle at which to hold the brush to get the best results, but once I did I got an insane amount of dead hair off her! My cat, while a short hair, has cerebellar hypoplasia and isn't coordinated enough to properly groom herself to help shed off dead hair. Instead, she'll start to rip mouthfuls of it out whenever she gets too itchy because it's too thick. Regular brushes don't do the trick because they matt up too quickly, but this one just pulls so much out with one swipe and is so much easier to clean. I was able to get a grapefruit-sized ball of fur off after one brush session! I also wish it came in a long-hair version too, because I think it'd be perfect for even short hairs. My only complaint is that it's SUPER staticy. I'm not sure if that's supposed to be a feature of the brush to keep the hair from going everywhere, or if it's the materials that it's made of. Maybe it's because it's winter, but I have to keep a can of Static Guard on hand to spray it down with. In any case, it's a bit of a hassle trying to get the clumps of hair to stop static-clinging to myself and everything around me.

I like this product, but my dogs don't like it nearly as much as their normal wire brush. Even though it removed hair from my poodle that rarely loses hair; it didn't seem to deter the shedding of my springer spaniel. ******UPDATE******. Now that I have used this more it has become my "go to " grooming brush. After the second time I used it, the dogs seem to love it as well. I upgraded my opinion and gave it 5 stars. I have included a photo of my Springer Spaniel puppy with the brush. Anyone who has ever owned a Springer (or any hyper dog) will appreciate this! Oh, no more scissors to cut out matted hair. This literally detangles the wads of hairy stickers.

I love this deshedder. It works well. I have bought several other brands that did not work well and did not last more than 6 months. My dog is a lab/ australian shepherd mix... he sheds a lot. I do a lot of brushing. He seems happy with this deshedder although he does not have a lot of patience with too much brushing ever. We are satisfied customers and would highly recommend this product.Also sent another as a gift.

My German Shepherd is downright silky after brushing him with this for two days! He had a lot of undercoat caught in there, so I'm going to brush him three or four days to begin with, just to be sure, but I noticed a huge reduction in flyaway shed after the first use. Love this product!

Not flimsy or cheap, and my dog loves it. It gets all the fine under-hairs that tend to clog the vacuum and gather in the corners. My dog's fur was soft and smooth to pet afterwards.

This worked great for my beagle!! I am ready to say goodbye to carpets covered in dog hair. This was reasonably priced and he doesnt mind getting brushed (or combed). Totally recommend for short-haired dogs!

Works great so far and got it for a third of the price of the last one I bought!This one also seems to cause less irritation to my dog than the last brand I had.

It works as well as the higher-priced Furminator. I wish the blade was curved for more body contact, but it works well. You just have to be prepared to spend a long time brushing.
