Great product!
(Bought this item for my 18 month old)This item is great for color recognition, counting, hand eye coordination, etc. It’s all up to the imagination. I like how sturdy the pieces are and it has become an item my daughter goes to often on her toy shelf. As she grows older we will find more way to incorporate it so I find that it is a good buy. I read in some reviews that people were worried about the amount and/or size of the pieces… yes, the pieces are small if you have a child who constantly puts things in their mouth. Advertising it for 2+ may have put parents at ease but again it all depends on the child. My daughter has yet to put a piece in her mouth. In regards to the amount of pieces, that doesn’t affect the product. Don’t buy a product that shows you there are lots of pieces if you cannot keep track. It’s a great product with a good price comparable to the peg board in the Love Every kit. I feel as though it will last for many years especially if it’s well taken care of.UPDATE: My daughter is now 22 months and for her first week shelf rotation I have added this bad boy back on it. She’s played with it once more. Now I ask her to place a certain color on the board and have her stack them as well. From all the times she has used it there is yet to be any wear on it! Still loving it!

Great for open-ended play
My almost 2-yr old daughter so far loves this toy. It is great for practicing fine motor skills, and for teaching colors. I ask her “where does the yellow ring go?” and she’ll look for the yellow peg to put it on. She also has fun mixing up the colors and making towers! And she’ll put the rings on her fingers like mommy and daddy’s wedding rings. Because this toy has so many ways to play with it, this will go into her regular toy rotation.

Useful for pincer grasp
I bought this for my one year old and he’s been playing with this in a different variety ways. I am looking forward to seeing him play with it when he learns to sort colors!
