GOD forbid someone takes pride in their work!
I guess this is what I get for purchasing a POS made in China. I was excited to receive these as I use Hoppe's gun cleaning products that come in a less than friendly container. Foolishly before testing the bottles, i wrote "Cleaner" and "Lubricant" on the bottles. I know I shouldn't have trusted that someone did their job. I filled one with Hoppe's no. 9 bore cleaner and turned it upside down, with the stopper in, and gave a slight test squeeze. To my surprise the oil sprayed out in two streams at the lip of the lid. Hoping I received a bad product, I did the same. The second bottle was no better. Why these things received such great reviews is beyond me. They are most likely "brushing" people to boost their reviews (look it up, amazon is plagued with this scam and is trying to combat it). Shame on the seller for selling such an inferior product. We need to start honestly reviewing the products we purchase to start either forcing companies to care or stop selling.

No gasket, not usable as sold
These bottles come with no gasket in the cap so, no matter how tightly it's screwed on, the liquid therein will leak past the threads onto the outside of the bottle. I happened to have some 11/16" diameter o-rings in my parts drawer that fit perfectly and solved the problem. But the bottles can't be used out of the box without making a mess.

They need seals but otherwise they work well
The bottles leak very badly no matter how tightly you screw the top on. I was able to find o rings from a harbor freight kit that happened to fit nicely, so I was able to get them to seal airtight but these do not work well without them and did not come with any o-rings or seals of their own. 5/5 with o rings but losing two points since they didn't actually come with any.

The bottles leak badly
I was hoping that these would work out. However, there are not any gaskets between the pieces. So after using them with gun cleaning fluid/oil the the outside of the bottle is wet. Putting my finger on the end of the needle and applying a light pressure on the bottle the fluid drips out at the black lid/bottle interface. There needs to be some sort of sealing measure. I'm going to throw them away. I've been using the small clear Hoppes' bottles for years and nothing ever leaks.

Good value but also potential leaky
The bottles meet well my expectations on quality at the price point, and came with black PVC caps. The needle top cover is called a 18G scabbard cover/seal, and made of some semi-flexible material of either neoprene or Sanoprene. It is designed to make an airtight seal around the blunt type needle. As stated by others, the cap or luer lock (needle part) does not use or rely on any gasket seals whatever so. (which I think is common for applicator bottles.)A simple water test with some normal squeezing pressure, showed potential leakage around the caps and LDPE bottles. An extra tight twisting force to the cap is needed here to prevent this. The sealing around the Luer lock hub were good, although the Luer lock barely needs no force at all to unscrew, and the seal can be broken. Now for some laymen tips and not necessary manufacture recommendations:Some plumbers telfon (PTFE) Tape can be applied, anti-clockwise on the threads of the LDPE bottle, to help leak proof this area, should a bottle not perform as expected. This could also potential help ease the mechanical stress at the cap and could avoid cracked caps, that I’ve seen elsewhere happening, with these type of bottles. The needle hub could be glued into place, should a more permanent fixture be preferred.A lower viscosity acrylate adhesive, would be an ideal choice, if a needle separates from the hub, and you decide to fix it. Professionals typically uses medical grade UV curing acrylates to maximize the strength and fast cure time, but it is really not wide available to normal people.Needle tips are though also meant to be more disposal, and your are better economically to get replacements. Why the manufacture yet seem to me not offers needle replacements, at time of writing, is a little bit of a bummer.Long contact with aggressive chemicals such as acetones, fuel additives and so called halogenated solvents, are usually NOT smooth sailing with these type of bottles, as they will degrade the plastics or glue joints. They are actually that not really meant to stand a long lifespan, so expect to need new replacements, soon or later.Lastly, go get some water resistant labels. Don’t rely on guessing the content every time, and never skip this step when storing liquids, that could pose any type of hazard.
