The Body Shop British Rose Shower Gel, 8.4 Fl Oz

This is not a paid review — I bought this Satsuma bath gel myself and loved it so much I had to leave a review. The scent is bright, fresh, and smells just like juicy tangerines. It’s incredibly refreshing and uplifting. It lathers beautifully and leaves my skin feeling clean and energized without drying it out. Perfect for a morning shower or anytime you want a burst of citrus. Five stars all the way!

Smells greats! Smaller bottle than I realized for the price but that’s on me for not paying attention. Lathers up nicely and leaves skin soft. Arrived in good condition with no leaks.

I have sensitive skin, but really wanted to try an argan oil product. I chose The Body Shop because of its policies, price, and size. The largest drawback I have found so far is that I don't appreciate the smell at all - its not terrible, however it is a very...unscented, oily smell that I image argan actually smells like instead of the perfumes I am more familiar with. I suppose I assumed they'd add some orange blossom or lemon or other herbal scents to it, but that doesn't appear to be the case. After about a week of using this product, I feel my skin has a more vibrant shine, is more elastic, softer, and seems more hydrated. Its soap-like enough that I can use it on my face without feeling that it makes my skin too oily, however I don't advise using it this way because it has a *terrible* taste/smell and will sting your eyes if you aren't careful when rinsing. As an added bonus, it doesn't seem to make me itch which a lot of soaps do afterwards. Overall I am happy with this product and would recommend it or buy it again.

I hate buying body washes that are super thin and watery or where the clean smell doesn’t stay on my body past the shower! This body wash is exactly the opposite—it’s got the freshest citrus scent, is nice and thick, lathers extremely well in your hands or on a loofah, and feels amazing when spread on your body. The smell sticks to your skin and when you open the bathroom door it’ll make your whole house small divine!!!! The cap has a pump that can easily be locked for travel and very little product goes a super long way… 2 pumps can clean my entire body! I’ve been buying this product for over a decade and will never stop! Buy the biggest bottle for the best value!!!

I used to LOVE the rose shower gel years ago and the smell it had 8 years ago or so. They’ve since changed the fragrance and it’s not as good - it smells almost artificial? It used to smell like the classic Bulgarian rose - really lovely and filled the shower with a lovely rose smell. Now I reach for other soaps because I don’t like the smell. I’ll finish the bottle (slowly) because it’s still a decent soap and if I use a small amount it’s not overwhelming. It’s not a smell I can’t stand, just don’t like it and it’s not a great smell experience like it used to be (which is the main reason to buy it honestly). I won’t be buying it again unless I smell it in store and it smells nice again. It’s possible this was a fake and that’s why it smelled different, but I’m not wasting my money buying it online without knowing I’ll like the smell.

Very nice body wash.

One of the best shower gels I've ever used! While it's a gel, it leaves my skin soft and more moisturized than my cream body washes. The scent lingers on my skin for hours: it's a unisex, fresh, calming, sweet fragrance with a hint of something outdoorsy (like pine trees). Reminds me of the South of France! Will be repurchasing.
