Is this good for use with self leveling compound?

Yes, that's what I used it for and it worked great. Poured the material out of the bucket. First used a simple metal leaf rake to move the material round a bit and then used the trowel to smooth out the leveling compound.

What size mud pan did you use?

I use a metal taping knife to spread some mud on the wall, then run the squeegee over it. The blade is really too flexible to work well in scooping from the pan and spreading, it's more of a finishing tool. Works great!

Will this screw onto a extension pole?

This is for use with threaded broom handle.
